New speed humps - Riverside Drive, East Fremantle

On my normal ride to work this morning I came across a number of new speed humps on Riverside Drive (the road that passes the Left Bank). They are the type that covers only the middle of the lane so can easily be ridden around on either side and keep within the lane. They may be difficult to see at night.

so the 'pillow' type ones? They're not too bad
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

No these were not the gentle on and off ramp type with the smooth sides. More the chunky plastic? type that been installed on a number of suburban streets. Similar ones are alongside the river at Attadale.

Well I was there last night at about 9.30pm and they don't have any reflective markers on the road.... But they are not much of a problem ezy to go by them.

    Those are speed humps?

I thought they were baits for giant cockroaches.

... unfortunately the policeman never woke up and they were convicted of vehicular manslaughter.

mm they shouldn't do half a job, if they can't finish it don't start it!! Hope they get it sorted before we are down that way next week, not that it is that dark by the time we get there, but ...

Also you may wanna note that most of the speed humps are before the chicane and there is one after it. Not a good spot for it imo but hey what ever saves lifes.... is good right?

Some of those found their way onto Belgravia St Belmont (near Chester) not too long ago. Boy, do the local cagers get pissed when you overtake them while they have to slow down for the bumps.
