    Nod or not to nod...

This is my second week with my bike, i'm riding around a little bit here in the south west and I notice that all the bikers i cross do not respond to my nod. I usualy nod to every bike a come a cross, does not matter if they are HD enduro o supersport, we all share one passion and wave or nod to each other is a form of respect i reacon.
Wave to a fellow biker is very common in Europe, why is not that popular here?

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Fantastic. The fatuous nod is dead. Hoorah!

Why nod? Do you realise you may be nodding at pedobear?

The best plan is to start doing imperceptible nods, that way everyone is happy. I imperceptibly nodded at 17 riders yesterday and 13 imperceptibly nodded back. It was a happy day.

I nod to most riders and most riders nod back. Except cruisers. I don't nod to scooters. That would just be embarrassing.

I usually give a wave depending on my mood. It's a lot easier to correct a wave into the finger if you accidentally mistake a scooter for motorcycle.

I find that most other sportsbike riders will reply when I give a nod.
Cruiser riders are almost always too cool for school and only seem to acknowledge you if you flash your lights to warn them one of Knob Johnsons minions is in the vicinity. Always get waves back then, hence proving their physical capacity to do so.
Ninja 250 riders often seem too busy thinking about how well they are gonna flog themselves in front of the mirror when they get home, and probably don't nod back because they believe their willy is perceived as smaller than yours and are busy planning adding an exhaust that would sound 'fully sick' and compensate for that.

I wave at literally every rider I see now. Anyone that shares the passion will acknowledge the wave, anyone that gets all strung up as to why I'm waving or has to pretend not to have seen it is only causing themselves more grief. I enjoy it either way!

    Im a nodder,

Stopped nodding to cruisers and older-guys who seem too slow to react to anyone else besides the cars in-front of themselves. Find it funny when a learner is so strung trying to ride properly that he/she doesnt even see me or the nod. I try to hold out to the last second to nod, when i think it maybe a scooter, dont want them to get the idea that bikes are on an equal footing.

So i think it is a 70% nods from full face helmets, 20% of cruisers, 1% of harley riders, -25% of scooter nods, 31% of old people nods 1% police nods.

I nodded at this old cruiser rider at the lights and he grunted and asked if I wanted to suck his dick or sumfin.

Should have told him you did want to, and then tailed him for a bit.
