A great trip and photos/ story Ranmar and I concur with your assesment of roads and drivers who pull over for faster vehicles as a matter of normality there.

I had a great run thru a gorge with a BMWR1100S and Suzuki V twin 1000. The Kiwis can ride well, the Falcon was going hard and Mrs Lin wasnt holding the vid cam still enough!

I was based at Wigram in 1974 and was there too late to get in in January last year so was rapt to se those pics. Trying to make it this year.

We had a great holiday there and I want to do a bike trip there again so badly.

I am heading to this and will have some more time there after.

We were all set on going for a few hours Wednesday afternoon :-) the place we were staying at still had a few rooms for Easter, I checked and I was rostered off...sticking point was my wifes leave, can't take it outside of school holidays. And I really should be putting some money into fixing up the house instead of just enjoying myself...still might happen.

Wow, that makes me want to go back home and travel the south on a bike.. such awesome scenery.
