    Oops! Down I go

Well riding to my dads just then and had my second little lowspeed lowside, I think this one was my fault again and maybe I should just sit out from riding for awhile :/

Anyway I can't really remember as you don't realise how fast these things happen but I was going along the road and turning right around a roundabout, I indicated and started going around and right as i entered another Van coming the opposite direction had entered aswell meaning I sorta had to slow abit as he was going through rather slowly, I began to accelerate out of the roundabout and as he goes by I begin coming out when I shat myself realising I was heading straight for a pedestrian crossing the middle of the road, I basically did the typical noob reaction and jammed on the brakes rather than trying to avoid ( rather that than swerving, misjudging and hitting him ) and as a result locked the front at about 25kph and luckily because of my lean angle slid on an angle and missed him heading towards the curb.

Some cars stopped and he was really concerned for me and rather apologetic even though basically It was my fault as I was coming out a little too fast and should of accounted for the brief peroid the van had blocked my view.

Luckily I decided just before that I would put on my full leathers just to go up the road to my dads place lol and don't have a scratch except my knee sliders have a chunk out of them and my brand new lucky strike jacket has a big scuff mark on the logo .

Anyway here's a pic of what basically happened as I think my explanation was a little confusing and I myself am a little confused as to legally what happened.

It's ok mate, it's happened to all of us at one point or another. Round-a-bouts are probably one of the most dangerous types of intersections in suburbia. Glad you got out of it unscathed.

Ya didn't admit liability did ya? D:

Round abouts are a bitch and a lot of crashes happen on them so take it slower in built up area's and go slower on round abouts and keep on riding and its great to hear you were wearing all your gear. I had a dude laugh at me the other week because I had my leather suit on in hot weather and my reply was have you ever had road rash his reply was no my next reply was nothing like to just let him think about it LOL.

Keep at it, just approach more carefully and appreciate that you need to know what's on the whole roundabout, not just the quarter in front of you.

Watch out if you've got cold tyres too, lean the bike too much and they might slide out from under you.
