I've tried Ugly Fish a few times, couldnt get comfortable with the soft padding around the lenses and I found them fragile.
I now just use my normal sunglasses which are a wrap around style.

I use my safety glasses from work. They're Eyres tinted and fit nicely

fugly are pretty good, fairly cheap ($50 for middle of the range) .. I like the fit.. some bastard nicked them... so they must have liked them too...

I have a pair of Ugly Fish I don't use often... For "anti-fog" lenses, they were worse for fogging up so completely that I couldn't see out of them than my pair of regular safety goggles, and the pair of light adaptive push bike riding sunnies I have... The latter I've not had a problem with fogging up at all of yet.

if your wearing a open face lid make sure that your glasses are rated for a medium impact. Eg normal safety glasses

I've had Oakley, $5 chemist specials, Maui Jim and now Serengeti. The only thing I can say is if you're going to get polarised just be aware that when you close your tinted visor (if you use it during the day) it will make things look strange colours. For example, car windscreens go from being clear (or covered in glare) to having a pink through to green tinge. It changes as the angle of reflection changes.
Other than that, I recommend polarised. You can see through puddles, wet roads suddenly have more detail and no glare, and you can see through some car windows that usually are covered in glare.

and polarized shades plus iridium visor makes it hard to see the road properly, especially if you have lots of shadows etc on the the road. best riding glasses are wrap around safety glasses as per sentry's comment.....impact resistant for rocks etc, keep the wind out of the eyes when the visors up, and they usually come at the right price ie free from work

My favourites were my Ryders, comfortable fit and good coverage. They're designed for sports & performance, so they won't be the cheapest. I got used to the rainbow effect from polarised glasses under a tinted lens, in fact I'm sure it made oil slicks on the road a lot easier to spot, and as Honet says, you see other things with more clarity when the glare is removed. Then again, I don't have LCD displays on my bike.
My Ryders were pinched, until I can find another supplier of Ryders, I am wearing sunnies from the Cancer Council which cost around $40, They have good coverage and are polarised, but they are fashion sunnies and not designed for impact. The Ryders also had a better fit.

I ride with auto-tinting Oakleys. It means that I don't have to go changing glasses at dusk, and they have good, strong, straight arms.
I chose not to go polarised because you aren't supposed to wear them at night.

Not true. I've found most LCD displays are just fine. It depends on the angle that the polarising lens has been put in. You can make a LCD screen totally black or look just fine by tilting your head. No problem on my K2 Gix and no prob on the '06 R1. Also took JME's K9 for a ride and no prob there.
I've never had a problem, Wiggy. Have used polarised for years, now. I like that they reduce glare on wet roads or even when the sun reflects off a dry road, and they lower the brightness of the sky without darkening everything else.
Until you've tried them, don't discount them. Yes they can react with your visor and yes they can change the look of a LCD display, but I feel the positives outweigh the negatives.

I wear a set of polarized oakleys and have no issue reading the LCD display
$30 polarised 'aerial' sunnies from the servo.
Use these for sailing all the time, at the rate I go through sunglasses I couldn't afford to buy anything more expensive!![]()
Completely depends on your head shape and how your helmet fits.
Get some that will fit snugly, but not put too much pressure on your temples or budge forward when you move your head.
I still haven't found the perfect pair.

another +1 for servo sunnies.
although I just got a pair from the cancer council shop that are working pretty well.
