I have two car plates, is it possible to have one remade into a bike plate and that plate put on a bike?
I own both the car and bike
I've searched Transport WA's website but can't find any reference to this topic

Hey, I asked the same question and yes u can as long as they are not the blue personlised plates but u have to pay a fee again which was nearly the cost of purchasing them in the first place.
131156 they will tell u how much exactly.
Do you mean 2 car plates, as in one front one rear, or 2 sets of personalised car plates?
If it's the former, then no. You can't have identical numberplates for 2 different vehicles, regardless of what type they are (car/truck/bike). If it's the latter then I don't see why not but be aware that technically you shouldn't have 2 sets of personalised plates so they're probably going to ask questions.
Yeah what Jonas said, u can only have one vehicle with those personlised plates though.
nope, you can't display the same plates on two vehicles, but you can as far as I know, remove it from the vehicle and put the original plates on, and then put it on your bike.

As long as the one you want to put on the bike has only 7 characters, 9 for cars/trucks, but only displayed on one vehicle, but I believe once you change it car to bike you can't go back to car again, not sure why.
They ream you for getting them remade.
I considered moving my custom plates to a bike plate but the cost was something like $150 + new plate for car + liscence transfer fee

I want to get plates for my bike but at a cost of about $500 for the plates (not sure what other fees would be involved, haven't had personalised plates for any vehicles previously), I can't really justify the cost!

Custom – acrylic $574.00
Custom – aluminium $425.00
Cheers, thanks guys. Pretty big rort eh, especially for bikes. I hadn't thought about the fact you only get one! Oh well, I'm sure it's a good thing, I'd only end up getting something obnoxious and stupid anyway.![]()
At least it's a one off fee. I was paying $180 a year for personal plates on my motorcycle in NSW. Vehicles can cost over 2grand a year.
What it can't reach it spits at
