Please just spare a thought for kids this xmas

Hey guys,

You wont see this sort of post from me too often. Ive never been one of these preacher people, but I know whats right and wrong etc.

Its pretty obvious that this xmas will be a big one for kids and motor bikes.

Just if your in your travels, or see ya rellys etc buying bikes, please say something about helmets for kids.

With the pine forest death this week, I cant stop thinking about how unneccesary the whole situation is. There is generations of proof that wearing a helmet is a good thing - Just maybe you could pass the message on if you get the chance.

Could make the difference between having a laugh about a big off with your mates, or going to a hospital/funeral.

Thats about it. Keep it in mind is all Im suggesting - and please say something if you have to.

Oh, and keep the kids on PB's off the suburban streets - almost as dangerous as not wearing a helmet.

Shops should probably start selling these PB's with a free (kids?) helmet to help combat this squidly-ness in the younger generation. That would be using their head.

I couldn't imagine sending my kids/loved ones/mates out on two wheels without gear on! No Gear, no start.

It was a friend of a friend who died in Gnangara on Sunday, I was dumbstruck when I learnt what had happened and couldn't understand why they were without proper protective equipment . The family and my friends are, needless to say, having a very rough time.

It is such inexpensive insurance that costs around $1,000 to buy and maybe 45seconds to use everytime you ride, WHEREVER you ride. And it can save those who care about you from needless suffering and trauma.
