Question for People Involved in Cage V Bike Accidents

    Ok Guys,

Just have a simple Poll. This is only for people that have been involved in a Cage V Bike accident where the driver was at fault.

I want to know is, Was the driver charged?

I'm trying to get an idea of just how many drivers who cause accidents actually end up being chrged with an offence.

To me its seems that cops are very quick to charge us for Section 60 for wheelies, burnouts etc that have a slim chance of hurting other people, and yet the people who DO cause accidents seem to get away with it either entirely or a slap on the wrist.

Nope, apparently it's not enough to cross an unbroken white line without looking to get charged.

i got cleaned up in Sydney by a drunk driver (0.09).... but he got away with everything cause i was going 15kph over...

went to court, and he got ZERO while i got a $300+ fine and loss of about 3 pts from memory.
the magistrates excuse when i had it re-dressed was "you were speeding son, and if you weren't you might not have been in a position to be struck by Mr X's vehicle. Now get out of my courtroom"

The bloke that pulled out in front of me was charged with failing to give way and dangerous driving. I charged him with being a douche.

The bitch that hit me wasnt charged because of her exemplory driving reccord. So if I kill someone hopefully I'll get off because I've never killed someone before.

I was lucky that there was a car following me with the driver being interested in bikes. When the police were interviewing me they said if the bloke and his girlfriend in the car didn't see it no charges would be laid and he would walk away scott free. The driver of the car that hit me said I was speeding and it wasn't his fault. Wish I had a recording of the guy after the accident I heard him say to someone I just didn't see him. The driver is being charged with the next charge under grievious bobily harm. The police officer wanted to charge him with GBH but the guidelines say I needed to lose a body part for the driver to be charged with that. I'm not sure when it goes to court but I'll be there to see what he get's.

Bitch was cautioned, not charged. I was told this was because the police didn't actually witness the accident.
The real shitter was that she wasn't obligated to pay for any property damage, because she was only cautioned.

My guy got three months jail for one of these.
    1.Driving with a suspended licence
2.Failing to give way at a stop sign
    3.Failing to report an accident
Number three I think was what got him, I was outside the court but didnt go in as I may have jumped the dock and bashed him, due to his attitude after the accident and following weeks. Got no money out of him and couldnt find him till he showed up at court. He did have two private dicks after him for finance companies also.

If anyone else runs me over and I can reach them, I'm going to town on them.

one of my friends was killed by a young girl who failed to give way at a stop sign. No charges were laid, it was weak as piss.

I believe we need to speak up about this. The guy who hit me got nothing as well.
I'm sure many of you are aware that if you write a letter of complaint to any government department, they are required to respond in writing. You will be amazed at the results you can get just because a department is sick of sending out hundreds of reply letters. All we need is some stamps and a photocopier.

Not sure whether the dick who cut me off has/is going to be charged with anything. I think there needs to be a new Section for "Driving like a brokedick".
    Feels good man.

The guy who nearly killed me was charged and found guilty. He then (very pleasingly) went nutso at the Magistrate, who hadn't yet fined him. The fine was quite a bit more than the standard punishment. The guy went nutso again, threw his pen across the court, and was then held in contempt. Wonderful day!
