R-E to R "Taking the plunge".

Ok, today I found out that I will be getting a very tidy little payout at the end of next month or early January. I have decided to take the plunge and go for my "R" licence and move up to a 600. The wife wants to get her R-E so the ZZR will be going to her and I am in the market for a decent secondhand 600. I will have up to $5000 to spend on a bike and dont know which one to go for.

    My dream bike is a

But this is out of my price range but will consider a older yammy around the 1996 mark.

I like the look of the mid 90 honda's

As I am drawn to Kwakka's I would say if it came to a decision between two bikes I would proberbly pick the kwakka as I have had experience with them.

I have never really liked the gsxr but after being on PSB they seem to be pretty well loved and admired so with a few test ride's under my belt who know's

In saying all of that I dont really mind what I get as long as its within my price range and is in good condition and reliable, reliable being the word of the day.

Please feel free to discuss, comment, opinions and argue as this will help me decide what to look for for the next month and a half.

and if anybody is selling the above bikes in the price range feel free to throw them in to the mix and I will gladly consider them in my decsion making.

So you've gone from desperately needing an E licence, so you can get a job, support your 8 kids and not lose your house.... to 'let's go buy bikes', all in about a month???

It's your life and your money mate, but somehow the sympathy levels are falling fast. The wise move would be to build a bit of a buffer into your mortgage, or save the money for the next time you get caught riding unlicenced.
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

Buy my stuff, everything now half price - http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/foru...woofer-144818/

Not 8 kids, it was 5 last week and 6 this week, it will take at least another 2 weeks to get to 8.
