Yeah, same. Make sure you have brushed up on your roadcraft 'cos they expect an R-class rider to show that they have gained at least a year's experience in the traffic. Good luck with the test and let us know how you go. Cheers Im doing it on K3 gskr1000 hopefully it will be a wide street for u turns
i hope you're not doing it at west perth then!!

I guess if I show him cople of wheeles I should be alright![]()
since xmas they are making r class do u turns on a 5m wide street on a hill.
seriously.
got your shadow orginised ??

The place the assessor from City West took a student of mine recently was pretty tough but I'd say it was more like 7 metres rather than 5m - although on a litre-bike it probably feels narrower!since xmas they are making r class do u turns on a 5m wide street on a hill.

It's not easy to do the fig '0's there, but I tried it myself and found that a 954 Fireblade can do it with a little room to spare. I also have it on good authority that it's do-able on a 1000 Fireblade too. As to whether a GSXR1000 can turn in that width I couldn't say.![]()
Wohoo...o-turn on the hill using gsxr1k. Sweet...![]()
The R test is pretty much the same as RE test, although you have to be able to show a level of confidence gained from your RE class experience.

bikes, meh. if you aren't confident, ask the instructor if you can walk it first. 99/100 they will agree to see if the bike can safely turn that closely in the first place. it you can't, they will just ask you do to some slow (walking pace) riding to make sure you have slow control down pat.
Most assessors - at least the ones that care about you and your machine like hills during the R class assessment.
West Perth, If you havent been taken around the area before by your instructor, go have a ride around.
Also if you havent already been told, watch out for ducks crossing the road = they have right of way
All the No standing/No Parking signs
The speed humps,on various streets have different posted speed signs.
Best of luck
Try searching this forum, a few people over time have posted about doing their test a various places and what to look out for.

Everything started going wrong this morning. First I thought the test was at 11:45 but it was at
11:25 that ment I had to floor it to west perth without my shadow and L's and he met me there,
than just before I got out of tunnel fuel gauge came onbut it was enough , I completly forgot
about headchecks until 5-10min into ride![]()
Couldn't do u turns to save my life but he let me do it 3 times than I got and on the way back I missed
the entry and kept going straight while he turned left. I'd fail me but I guess he felt kind today![]()

Were you on a streetfighterish bike? I think I passed you and the examiner as you turned onto that road that leads to the freeway there...
Congrats!
