Radio slams Stoner
Driving to work this morning in cage and heard radio report slamming Stoner for his Marlboro sponsorship. Because we all know that smoking Marlboro will make you rich, successful and very very fast........

Remember Last year when He stitched up the championship and lit up on the podium?
I was disgusted.

I think the anti-smoking groups may be responsible for a few more people taking up smoking than Casey Stoner.

hahaha, sorry, this makes me laugh. Don't these goody goody losers have anything better to do. His team is sponsored by marlboro not him. I remember growing up when with heaps of smoking company sponsorship in F1, motogp, footy, etc and I dont'/never have smoked. People make up their own minds.
But yes, he's a child killer, let's go get our pitch forks...

"Casey Stoner is the new Marlboro Man" ... oh dear! Assuming you were a fan, AS IF you're gonna go out and take-up/smoke more just because of some advertising. LOL. Poor little guy, I'm hurt. Just a little. Nah, not really

Now they've been kind enough to tell me, I gotta get me some smokes...

You're right thro, I'm going to start smoking now because I think Casey Stoner is just tops.

No, no! Please don't! Won't someone think of the children (again, and again, and again).
CitD - I was gonna bring you lunch today, but after that "just tops" comment, you're now getting lettuce and carrot. Cool with that ?

actually....I can understand where they're coming from. I dont agree completely with the do-gooders but I see what they're getting at.
Cigarette advertising is illegal (in motorsport) in this country. But when other countries dont have that same rule, it kinda makes a mockery of our rule.
Personally, I think its a good thing that Australia has taken pretty big steps in getting rid of smoking advertising.

Well at least if he's a high speed drug pusher you may actually get your drugs on time. Most drug dealers are way to unreliable but with stoner you could just say I need some weed and he would burn over to your house in world record time and deliver them.

If your mate Alice doesn't get more 'rides' then you won't take up smoking because of his bike.

Smarter than Smoking co-ordinator, Fiona Phillips.
Somebody get details, I think some campaign feedback is in order.

I am pretty sure top riders can have an input into sponsorship deals. Rossi threatened to walk from Yamaha a few years ago when they changed sponsors from Gauloise (aka GO!!!!!) to Camel. Both are tobacco companies and if my memory serves correct, he thought after the Gauloise sponsorship had ended they would get out of tobacco sponsorship deals altogether.
