Riding apps for iPhone ? What's the best

    Hi all
I'm trying to find a good riding app for my iPhone ?
I have the MotionX-GPS app but it's no good
It only tracks your route on a map and gives you your average speed and
    Whatever your max speed was.
But is there something better out there ??

    Thanks
    JJ

What do you want the app to actually do?

    Bit of everything really :-)
Track the route onto a map that show you
What speeds your doing and where
Plus average speeds, max speeds, times, and so on
And Be able to make routes before you go

Look up all sport gps le. I use that quite a bit. And then there's diablo superbiker. Allows you to record either track (with lap times) or road and bike lean angles against speed. I've got the app but haven't used it.

Yeah thanks for all the help :-) I've downloaded a couple of different apps now and
Then went out on a ride to try them all out.

    The Diablo Super Biker app

Now that's the kind of app I was looking for ;-)
it tracks everything and shows it all on the map once you've finished your ride
Touch the track on your map and it shows you what speed you were doing at that point

    Awesome app :-)

We fiddled around with a few tracking apps but they were for Windows Mobile. I would be looking for something that exports to KML. We went with Mobile Tracker by Skylab systems, I would think they would have Android and iPhone versions. It shows a trak map on Google earth/Maps and each waypoint provides data like:

    Tracklog
    Start time: 20/01/09 4:54:34 PM
    End time: 20/01/09 5:44:55 PM
    Total time traveled: 00:50:21
    Number of waypoints: 303
    Total distance traveled: 15.84 km (15,839.25 m)
    9.84 mi (51,966.06 ft)
Direct distance start to end: 9.00 km (8,998.27 m)
    5.59 mi (29,521.89 ft)
    Total average speed: 18.87 km/h (5.24 m/s)
    11.73 mph (17.20 fps)

I think we fiddle with http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/GP...er-73625.shtml as well.

You won't find any better than OsmAnd, import & export .gpx files for all your pre ride directions loaded in .gpx format after extracting from Google maps

On a related topic, I just fitted one of these this weekend and am extremely happy with the result. Looks like it will happily stand up to any kind of rain. Excellent product, excellent quality. I'm now running copilot and trapster. Also when Siri f*cks up I can see why and sort her out.

You laugh now, you just wait until you need tech support.

I ordered one of these a couple of days ago. They seem like a great piece of kit.

Did you get the one that you can hard wire to the battery so you can charge on the go? I've gone with that option, should be handy.

How much did you pay for this App?

Found a few versions in the App store.

There is 'Copilot Live Australia' for $59.99 & 'Copilot live premium' which says it is for aus + nz, and that is $34.99.

There are a few other similar 'copilot' apps as well... Which one did you go with?
