I only wanted to spend around $1500 for my 2pce suit but I couldn't find 1 to suit my body shape. So I had to go custom. Cost me 2grand but fits like a glove. Tiger Angel Motorcycle Apparel
I know you said 1500 for suit/boots. But if nothing else fits well...

I'm fairly sure your 2 piece suit must fasten together to be used on the track. Wouldn't want an exposed plumber's crack to be ground off.
Not for individual sale.
its not a 2 pc if it doesnt fasten together.
some brands to look at
teknic
alpinestars
berik
rst
plenty more, but they are a starting point.
boots:
alpinestars
SIDI

I Got my leather pants and boots from Dale Bitton. Not the biggest selection but they've got some stuff for fairly reasonable prices

I like Gaerne brand of boots. I've got 2 pairs, one I've had for 5 years of daily riding and I've only just had new soles put on them - the tops are like new because I use dubbin on them. The middle shop of the Causeway bike shops has them, also have A* boots - look the same - twice the price. Decent Gaerne boots with all the protection 350 clams.
I've got these in white. Gaerne G-RW Boots - Bikebiz - New & Used Yamaha Kawasaki Aprilia Motorcycles, Motorbike Parts & Accessories My other pair are black, the previous version of the ones in that link, not too much different.

+1 for cully's from what I saw when I was there on the weekend they have the selection of stuff you can get online and are close enough to online prices to warrant buying it local.
edit: otherwise try riders discount $25 postage on any size order to AUS
Sportbiketrackgear
Revzilla

Total Motorcycle accessories and Cully's also stock the Gaerne boots...
Decent looking kit!
Is it just me, or do most of the boots these days look very similar (in design, features and materials) with different branding? Almost like they are all (with the exception of a couple makes - Dainese & Puma) coming out of the same factory...
Bump... thinking of getting into racing and looking at 2pc suits as I want to be able to use the jacket separately as well.
Anyone used or know someone who's used the Joe Rocket Speedmaster 5.0 2pc suit? It comes in pretty cheap at around $700 delivered and doesn't look too horrible.

What's some good cheap-ish racing boots too? They all look the same to me.
Might as well ask about gloves too... hard to pick ones that feel natural and don't make your hands feel like the hulks.

If you want to use the 2pc jacket seperately, bear in mind that often the jackets are very short - they are much shorter than standard road jackets you buy as the length of the jacket is determined by the height of the pants and the location of the zip - which is pretty much Harry McHighPantz. I don't feel as protected around my hips etc wearing my 2 pc jacket. My brand is Arlen Ness, others might be different though.

I'm hoping the Speedmaster 5.0 will be slightly better as they sell the jacket by themselves.
i have the joe rocket 2 piece made in china for people with really low knees and high waists
i haven't died yet but i haven't crashed in it either
wouldn't recommend it or buying any budget priced leathers unless you like the idea of having something made in china, pakistan or thailand being the last line of defence
the cheaper the suit the more you need to try it on, you can buy good gear from measurement charts, but try the same with cheap shit and you'll have knee sliders just above your ankles
