What's with the pillion crap? Why does everyone have to have a label? So just because I and 80% of people on here don't pay to use a sponsered forum that has paid advertising space in the banner we get labelled as "free loaders" on a "free ride".
Why not just give the supporters and staff a label and leave everyone else's blank?

I'm not paying shit. I dont' pay to use any other forum be it a perth forum and an international forum. PSB wasn't a business when I joined in '05 and I didnt' pay then. Now it has advertising space so why should I pay now.
This thread was started to get ideas, I put mine forward.

T_B R1's post brings something else to mind though...
It's one thing to have a bit of fun, whilst trying to recover the costs of running the infrastructure behind a large online community.
If it crosses the line (and I have no idea where that line is, just that this latest change makes it "feel" like we're getting close) to becoming a commercial operation, though, that's a different prospect altogether...
edit: heh heh, amusing that all the boo hooers are pillions and all the "let's abuse the boo hooers" are the PSB Cancer Kids.

psb costs a SHITLOAD to run. deej has been losing thousands each year to run this place. if he's lucky, it might break even this year with the extra supporters that have come on board. there's a big difference between free, shitty sites that never flourish, and one where the owners/admins throw a LOT of money in to make it work, and work well.
