Simple question; How would you improve motorcycling in Perth?
The sky is the limit. No cost is too large, no rule can't be written, re-written or deleted.
From making a bike-only 1m wide lane on the Freeway, to an extra lane 100m long and 1m wide so you can lane split to the front at sets of lights at lights, to rego on every vehicle indexed by weight (bikes pay bugger all and cars pay more), to free parking in the city, bike parking on the footpath, or the new wheatbelt motorplex picked up and moved to Ascot raceway with more curves and a stunt pad for all, to making all cagers spend one hour on the back of a bike before they're given their licence.
How would you make it better, easier, more enjoyable to ride a bike in Perth?

Make it compulsory for every C licence holder to ride R-E class for twelve months before finishing their probationary period.

I'd have all cars and people off the streets by 8pm on Friday so the FNR can go where it wants and do what it likes for 4 hours.
Look out, Perth GP curcuit and Gosnells International Raceway.

1. Relax the speed enforcement. Follow the lead of countries like germany where the whole idea of "don't do dumb shit" is enforced, rather than strict adherence to an arbitrary number.
2. explicitly make splitting legal by the letter of the law
3. replace as many traffic lights as possible with roundabouts
4. more 270 degree onramps
5. explicitly allow 2 bikes per car bay as far as parking is concerned
6. task the cops with targetting genuinely unroadworthy vehicles, rather than soft targets such as bikes or modified cars.

Get a heap of dirt and build a mountain, not a hill a mountain and build a Awesome road up and down it.

Maybe anything resembling a half decent riding road.Something in the order of:
Oxley highway.
Old Pacific Highway.
Bells Line Of Road.
Putty Road.
Mt Glorious Rd.
Reefton Spur.
Adelaide Hills.
Great Ocean Rd.
Alpine Way.
I could keep going..........!!!!
Everything over here is either flat and straight,or if it does have twisties,is too short, except maybe Caves Rd.

Front facing speed cameras everywhere, no police doing speed enforcement and no front numberplates on bikes.
Seriously; make the police answerable for the yellow stickers they hand out (not just for bikes, though) so that if you do actually get one for a legal fender (Turbo) you can be reimbursed.
Also, make all accidents involving a motorcyclist being knocked off by a cager that "didn't see him" come with instant 24hr jail time, for the cager. Reckon they'd see us then?

^^ yeah, i do.
They certainly manage to see cops on Honda STs, and my bet is that its got nothing at all to do with the fluro vest that's typically well hidden behind the fairing/screen.
"Didn't see him" is not an excuse, you're supposed to fucking look.... /rant.

Restrict vehicles classified as heavy to the left lane. All aterial roads a minimum of 3 lanes in either direction with an additional bus lane. Motorcylcists to have full and unrestricted use of the bus lane. Appropriate speed limits - even if it meant the limit requiring that you had to drop 20-30 in rain. Properly maintained roads. More fender eliminator yellows.
