Bloody Mondays...

Pulled into work carpark after nice frosty ride into work, put right foot down, proceed to kick stand down with left foot, and find left thigh fully cramped up from (i'm guessing) the cold ride in, can't straighten leg, weight already over, SPASTIC struggle to keep bike up, fall over and onto back like a RETARD beached turtle. FUCK.

Left mirror clean snapped off, nicely scratched gearbox cover, bent clutch leaver, scatches all up screen (sheered against carbon fibre exhaust of bike next to me) and various little scratches here and there.

She's not a virgin anymore, and i feel filthy looking at her. She's tainted...

...not really, i still love her, but fuck what an expensive morning, guessing close to $500-600? For replacement screen, gearbox cover and mirror? There was also a bit of oil on the ground, guessing from being tipped over on it's side. Is this bad? has oil gone to where it shouldn't have?

    Sorry to hear.

Cold weather does nasty things to the body. I rode back from Collie last night after the trackday and was getting cramps in my hips but thankfully no accident.

Hope you get it all fixed up and looking beautiful again quickly.

I wouldnt worry about oil gettin in places it shouldnt, it sounds purely cosmetic, and i havent the faintest clue how much it will cost, sorry dude, lol.

Yeah i reckon, after swearing like a mofo, lying on my back, helmet still on, I heard another bike coming down the carpark so I darted up and put the bike upright as if nothing had happened. Pity my wing mirror was lying on the ground in clear sight haha :| *sob* I'll have to call around later for prices...

He sits right next to me in the office, i walked in and handed him my mirror and said sorry dude, lemme know how much it'll all cost and i'll get fixed up for you straight away... i think his heart stopped briefly...

Nah his bike was alright, his exhaust just rubbed (hard) against my screen so my screen took all of it. It was only a couple of months ago his bike and his mates bike was backed in to by some clown, both bikes were in the shop for 6 or so weeks, so he was a bit edgy when i told him this morning.

Don't worry about the oil - it's probably just gone up your crankcase breather and into your airbox.

DO check your oil level though - the 675 has a tiny oil capacity and you don't want to be low!

It sucks riding with one mirror, just doesn't feel right. I was missing my right one for a little while. makes it very hard to ride safely.

Aight. i'll run out at lunch time and check. "Gone up your crankcase breather and into your airbox", that does sound nasty though.

    Rony, it's not nasty.

the oil will either sit in your airbox or end up down your intake where it'll just be burnt up.

As long as it wasn't a huge amount of oil (as in enough to hydrolock a cylinder) you'll be fine.
