costs too much, just buy a litre bike for the same result
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

Chuck Norris is 1/8th Cherokee. This has nothing to do with ancestry, the man ate a fucking Indian.

Or talk to Todd at Wayne Pattersons motorcycles.
I bet you could do like 300km/h on Ennis Ave with a turbo. You should do it, brah.

thanks tim thats best reply iv had all week.
btw u got my address ?
You disappoint me adsroki....
You should be off fitting a turbo not online...
*below statements presuming you're not just going to do it "just because"* ....
basically no point turbo-ing 600s.
buy a litre and enjoy the (relatively speaking here) linear, lag free throttle response - by the time you add the turbo, gate, manifold, intercooler, etc, etc you'll be heavier than a litre sports bike anyway... with worse weight distribution, etc, etc...
if *that* isn't enough, work the motor over a little bit and enjoy 200+ hp with fairly linear throttle response.
if *that* isn't enough, turbo the litre (or bigger) bike.
it will cost you about the same to turbo a 600 as it will to turbo a litre (a metric fuckload - budget say 10k + a lot of time to do it *properly* - all the incidentals like bigger injectors, custom fab work, dyno time, etc all add up quick).
if i had to choose between turbo litre and turbo 600, i know what i'd rather have.
Of course, do whatever the hell you like... just sayin'... the $$ to change over to a litre before going down the turbo path is insignificant in the scheme of things.
edit:
posting this as a turbo cage owner, have upgraded turbos, manifolds, management, etc so i have a general idea of whats involved - if you're really keen on bike specific info tyson or saf are probably the dudes to ask.
for some rough figures on costs... (new stuff)
turbo = $1500
gate = $700
manifold = ??? custom fab you'd be looking at somewhere between 500 and $1000 or more
management = $2000+ (no, a pc3 probably won't cut it - and on a project of this scale you don't want to cheap out on something as crucial as engine management)
dyno tuning = $1000 ish
there's $6200 before you even start....
