Urgent: Am I getting played re bike sale?

Had an Indian chap ring up today interested in my Gixxer for sale, sure, no worries, dropping by later tonight to have a look. Just after I got off the bus, get another call from another Indian chap, asking about my lowest price, whats wrong with it, when's the rego due etc. After no interest in my bikes for weeks, 2 Indians in the space of half a day both wanting to have a look is setting off alarm bells in my head. What do you guys reckon, am I getting sold a dodgie and what should I be looking out for?

Don't have people come to your home! Then it doesn't matter so much if they turn out to be dodgy. I also have a big biker type (or three) present. Some of my mates can be intimidating buggers!

whenever i'm selling a vehicle of any kind, i stick it in my mates car yard, tell them what i want for it and never think about it again until they ring me with the money.
usually i give the sales guy who sells it a $100.

they get more people in the yard looking at stuff and i don't have to deal with people ringing me or coming to my house.
    win win.

Half your luck, I'm selling an Aussie Muscle Car at the moment and keep getting calls from fuckwit italians who know everything there is to know about my type of car, except apparently how to find the money to pay for it.
Can't wait for this car to sell, so tired of dreamers and experts.

Sometimes they'll call, make you an offer (probably a low one), and get their friends to call at other times to make even lower offers. They'll leave you their phone number and if you get suckered in or desperate you'll think maybe their offer is not too bad and call them back.

Learned of this from my boss who is Scottish ... another tight-arsed bunch of people.

My EH Premier took a while to sell....but selling anything thats a classice and for a worthy price for the work that has been done is not easy. It takes the right kind of seller to talk it up properly without the crap. Best thing I found was to be brutally honest

If you are fed up with it, I might be able to arrange something so they can sell it on consignment for you.
It'd probably be just a case of working out how much you want for it and negotiate a fee.
my mate is back from his holiday on Friday, i can ask him if you want.

Hah... 1/2 the people where I am are Indian... the other 1/2 are Chinese.
The universe likes speed. Don't delay. Don't second guess. Don't doubt. When the opportunity is there, when the impulse is there, when the intuitive nudge from within is there, act.

Indian dude may have just been worried his Singaporean friend was a little inexperienced when it comes to bikes and was doing a fake call to get the sort of info his mate probably should have asked about. You got lucky, whenever an Indian calls me it's in an attempt to sell me a phone plan not actually give me money.
