Im so boned for exams... aha

I finish second Wednesday...2 hour 2pm exam... then straight to the Tav and then Cap S...

Then Tav Disco on Friday... Im going to be so drunk from Wednesday onwards I won't remember who I am... this has been the worst uni semester by far

I get the rooted timetable, i finis at 5pm on Friday the 27th. However, it's my mates last exam ever, so we're gonna be bringing an esky of alcohol into the exam

Oh god its not the doing the exams (coz i dont have to) but i have so much marking i am beginning to wish all i had to do was a weeks study for them.

Yeah students don't realise they only have to write one assignment at a time - We have to read every one of them - 50 or 60 within a week!

Once got students to 'blind mark' two of their peers assignments each - they failed more of them than i normally did!

Marking is pretty queer but at least you get paid for marking We pay to do the tests!!!

And Farkass, my last exam is in the undercroft

No we don't - how long would it take to mark 60 * 3000 word assignments? Average reading speed is about 200 words a minuite depending on the complexity and how well written. When marking that should go down to 150 usually less as you need to comment, critique, evaluate, etc. so you are looking at 20 to 30 minutes minimum depending how many comments you write (often 600 to 800 words in my case) = 2 per hour. 60 = 30 hours marking.

Multiply by four classes, plus the assessment of ones that seem to be plagiarised and you end up with your markers marking for 80 hours a week or more for two or three weeks - often all on the same topic - we aren't paid anything to mark. Then of course the exams are on top of that - Hence in part the push for Multi choice tests and no assignments.

And you don't pay to do assignments or exams - you pay to do the course

anyway good luck with your exams and stop reading this thread and get on with ya studying

And note that no academic would ever drink whilst marking - they always finish drinking first

yeah.... you've got a point. and we do pay for the course, but it includes the exams and assignments

as for studying, yesteday and today was a total write-off, rode one of my best mates dad's Harley. Was awesome!!
