Seeing as how Roo's belong to the nation, the Government, as representatives of the nation, should be responsible!
    Pricks won't though......

Used to take my ZX14 through there fairly often, haven't been there on 2 wheels -dawn or dusk- since the Merc hit. _____
I don't have any choice, if I want to go home.....

yes its covered under full comp. well mine is anyway.

what speed were u doing hoddo?
i found similar damage although not ridable as radiator damaged and cockpit snapped off.
my mates reckon the momentum from the speed carried me through. yeh same it was quick had a chance to think about using the lever and perhaps my fingers moved toward it a mm... skippy didn't make it tho.
being a triumph I am still waiting for repairs to be complete - 3 months now

Was doing about 80 or 90 K's at the time.
Should go a little better when it comes home. Having larger air intake tubes fitted, 14 tooth pinion, a power commander and some dyno set up work by Tod at Bunbury Ducati ( Patto's Joint )
If we can get it to handle ok in the dirt, I'll be able to chase the next bastard Roo that decides to try modify the Duke.

Glad to hear you made it safely, that must be really scary and your instincts was very good & did not panic etc.

    Anyone come across emus ?
They are very stubborn as they will run side by side with you and will endeavour to overtake you and cut in front of you.
So if you see an emu approaching, just slow down or even stop and let them overtake you.

The "Roocati" came home today all fixed after hitting the roo a few months ago.
Cant wait to go hunting so I can find out if the new carbon bits are stronger.

That's great news! My experience is the carbon smashes into smaller bits than the plastic.

Thanks for the tip Azazl. If this thing cant give me a clean kill on a roo next trip, then I'll be looking for an 1198.
