Forum Nickname?
Rhino
Ryan -> Ryano -> Rhino… see how it works?
Current Bike?
05 Ducati 749 Superbike (Dark – and perhaps two-tone, be sure to bring it up if you see me, it never gets old and I love talking about it)
Any modifications?
Termignoni (pronounced ter-min-o-nee) zorst - just the can. Not interested in bling. Maybe some rear sets… if I could actually find some for my bike.
Previous Bikes?
None.
If you could have any bike, what would it be?
Last year’s Stoner Rep.
When did you join PSB?
You want all the answers? Click on my profile and work for it!
How did you first find out about PSB?
Through a mate at work. I was a nice guy before that.
What was your first job?
Kitchen hand at Red Rooter, Noranda.
Always used to throw down a banana or pineapple fritter when I was hungry… “I’m sorry I thought someone ordered one – can’t sell it now, it’s been there for 5 minutes” fkn chomp!
What do you do now?
I work full-time for the WA Department of Education and Training as a graphic designer / developer.
Freelance design for my business (Currently working for Tourism WA).
‘Creative’ (industry speak for ‘design’) Director of Lift Media, an advertising company my brother and I have started. I’m in charge of content management nationally.
Do you have any formal qualifications or are you studying?
Racked up the big two years at TAFE Joondalup. Diploma of Technology (Instructional Multimedia)
Not likely to ever study again. <strike>Hornet</strike> Life is my teacher now.
What was the best piece of advice you have received and who gave it to you?
Use this cream it worked wonders for me. Name withheld
My truck driving instructor in the UK told me a couple of things… If X% of the vehicle is behind you, use your mirrors X% of the time. I use that theory in the car and on the bike too. He also said it is a speed limit not a speed target. True in a 17+ ton truck… but just doesn’t work for me on a bike… that said… I don’t think it’s the BEST advice I’ve received.
In fact, there is nothing life changing that anyone has told me that really sticks in my mind… What I have learnt though, is to always be myself. I take the piss and can be an utter smart arse to someone I’ve just met, usually for no other reason than I am comfortable and relaxed and that’s ‘my gig’. If you don’t take it personally, and stick around long enough you’ll see there’s more to me than just that. (yes, it’s from my personal ad)
What book are you reading now?
The Google Story, There and Back Again, Snap-on catalogue, Men’s Style.
Where did you go to school?
Guildford Grammar – Oh that’s gonna hurt
What is your favorite movie?
<strike>Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Sarah Jessica Parker)</strike>
The Shawshank Redemption – I love watching good guys get one over the bad guys.
Where were you when you lost your virginity?
Can’t remember, all happened so fast.
Actually to be honest, it was here ( http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&...010042&z=17 )
Your favorite song?
Who has one? I like to be reminded of experiences I’ve had. Good or bad, I think it builds character to remember what you’ve done and been through. Certain songs put me back in London within my first week of getting there, others point to big milestones in my life. Some remind me of people I’ve met.
Other than riding bikes, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m pretty heavy into my squash right now. Play competitively.
Always have time to hang with my good mates.
Photography. I’m happier spending money on cameras than bikes.
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be and why?
Saf, he actually feeds you himself. It’s great!
I’m not going to get all philosophical and think of some war time great, or a hottie celeb. I love catching up with my mates. Always provides plenty of laughs and memories to look back on later.
So… can I go now?
