You mean the disc lock alarms?

I've got one of the Xena ones, seems to do its job, goes nuts as soon as I put the key in to take it off. Not sure how it'd stand up to some brute force in the form of a sledge hammer though.

    The 'carbon13' alarms?

I think they were just plain shit and not worth the trouble.

indeed the carbon13 ones. . . .not worth the trouble as in they flat out didnt work, or because everyone wired them themselves and stuffed em up? ive spoken to 5 or 6 sparky guys, 2 flat out said they wouldnt do it, the others want between 2 and 3 hundred to wire it up

Talk to Capt Starfish about it, he did heaps of testing on his so he would be able to tell you it its worth the trouble.

i was in that group buy/ test thing

had it on for a month or so

then it shat itself and died

it now resides in the bin

i'd spend that cash and get a well known brand like scorpio. If you're serious about security, don't stinge on it i reckon.

It's what I ended up doing.

Scorpio i900, win. I watched the misery everybody else was going through with the units, considered the time investment to even get basic functionality working with the things and just wrote it off as garbage. I think I ended up giving the thing away late last year?

    Junk.

Work fine, you need to cut one of the wires and ignore it on the install diagram.

    I'm still happy with mine.

If you're chucking em out guys, chuck 'em my way kthx.

If others want them to actually install and use instead of just for spares like me, then let them have it.

Been running a Scorpio for 2 years now. A bit pricey, (compared to cheap crap) but nothing but praise for it, from installation to ease of use, to longevity.
