My blade does 100km/h at about 4050rpm-ish, alot of my commuting is done on the freeway so yeh thats the average cruise speed for me.

I have to get rid of my flat spot at 4200-4800rpm though, really pissing me off atm

what year is that?
mines sits on about 3800 at 100km/h

a real change from the CB which would sit on about 7500 at 100, and you would use 5th gear for any speed between 50 and 120

i might start cruising at closer to 4000 with gear shifts at 4500. it just sounds too nice to try and keep her quiet. also, once the revs drop below 3000 she gets a little sluggish under acceleration

cheers

Depends.. usually 4,000-4,500 if im just pottering along (very rare).
If I want a little power to play with 5,000-5,500 better than shifting down and then gassing it.

ummm doesn't the ideal speed cpme into play somewhere?

I have mine idling around 1300 rpm (I think it's meant to be a little more), screams like a bitch in 2nd at 14

Will have to look on way home, think I remember seeing it at around 4000 at hundred in 6th just cruising.

about 3500 at 100km/h.

i try to put it along between 3500 and 4000 most of the time. Grunt is on tap from 3000 with the bandit.

GSX750F was 5,000 for 110.

didnt get enough play time with the ZXR before it was nicked... but speed seemed higher for same sound, so I guess a bit lower in the revs department for the ZXR.

I'll let you know in a few weeks when shes back on the road. <_<

Any rpm is fine, just make sure its not constant . I ride with different rpm depending on weather , to make the waterpump work in its effeciency (SP's run warm due to side mounted rads at lower speed in summer) ,and depending if i want to cool the oil before i shut the motor down.

I normally cruise anywhere between 6000rpm (3rd gear at 60) to 7.5k for 80kmph (3rd gear still) sometimes knock it into 4th gear just to change the revs a bit. Not sure what your meant to rev at it just seems the most comfortable and gives u enough power to get out of trouble.

I find myself putting around 2.5-3k on the VTR at 60km/h in 4th, at 110 its 3k in 6th Will still pull away from either of those revs (loves the vtwin) but like SAF said, the VTR's side mount radiators can make the bike get mighty warm at below 60km/h

From memory it was about the same as the blade, that is ~4000rpm to sit at 100km/h, she does good fuel economy as well.
