After the Cronulla riots a few years ago they had the Bra Boys and the Commancheros shaking hands and playing peacemakers for the media. The Commancheros were mainly POMEA's (people of middle eastern appearance). Maroubra is not Cronulla either but it made for good piccies.

Media is generally 5-10 years behind the news in this respect.
