    Angry Wheel Clamping In Midland

For anyone that frequents Midland, Particularly the Centrepoint carpark opposite the train station, be aware that they are starting to wheel clamp any vehicle left in the centerpoint carpark for more than 3 hours.
Parked the car at the train staion as per usual this morning and looked across the road to see signs everywhere advising that it was now a patrolled carpark with a Three Hour limit and vehicles would be clamped.

But wheel clamping is a wholesome, moral alternative to parking fines and the people that put them on are kind, decent human beings...

That carpark is never full & business at centrepoint has been dwindling since the new Midland Gate opened. Its simply a Money Grab, they dont need the space, theyre just getting pissed off that its used as an overflow carpark from the station and they arent making a quid from it

Whatever happened to good old parking fines, The owners got their money and the drivers got to take their car/bike home for the night.

So what are they doing about the cars belonging to employees that have an 8 hour shift???

Knowing the people that own it, I can assure you that they are not in any sort of financial trouble - no end of the place in sight!

random thought - did anyone hear that someone was planning to put a nightclub where the old regent cinemas and BD's Games were? Now that's a recipe for more drunken violence in midland

An even more random thought - Someone wants to put a nightclub on top of 'La Porchetta' in Morley. As long as footwear isn't compulsory they'll get a lot of business from the skanks dstairs

PS: I'm lightening the mood 'cos wheel clamping topics go south within a second and a half.

I love La Porchetta, it's walking distance from my house, it cheap, filling and tasty. The walking bit is handy after a bottle of dodgy lambrusco.

Of course purists like Nath hate it, but it's popular in a middle-class woggy suburb, where you can take the family out and not break the bank.

I grew up on this and I still don't mind it.... I even got Jess to drink it once and she didn't mind it.
