Girlfriend calls me up to come and pick her and the bike up from the side of the road. I was worried more about her then the bike, and she's okay, slightly shaken up.
Bird hit front of bike at about 70km/hr.

Glad she's ok. Good thing it hit the bike and not her.
Wholly crap!!! Bad enough when you're in the car and i duck when one comes at me, let alone being on the bike when it happens......glad she's ok mate........
Being Spring they will be more territorial and will swoop, no matter if you're on foot, in the car or on a bike.....another thing to watch out for
She should have got its rego number![]()
Birds can be dangerous. A mate of mine many years ago cracked his sternum when a corbie flew up into his path from the side of the road.

A few years ago, on Xmas day, I was riding my GS750 to a midday rellie bash on Fitzgearld St. and got hit in the head by a seagull, or bird of some sort. It kinda stunned me, and I came to and realised that I was on the bike. It hit with enough force to crack a (Fairly old) visor on the Arai Supervent. To this day I get a bit nervous when birds fly near me
In another incident, a friend hit a seagull on his Mk IV Lemans and got dead seagull stuck in the cooling fins of one cylinder - he reckoned it smelt nice, like fried chicken - I don't think he tasted any though...
It must be the day for it. I got smacked by a kamikaze willy wagtail (or something else relatively same size and colour) this morning .... scared the bejeebus outta me! Thankfully the lil bugger only got me on the arm LOL. Glad to hear she is ok![]()
Same thing happened to Corser a while back and kept him out of a WSBK race.
Lucky it hit the bike and not her.
Karma is a fucking bitch!!! What goes around comes around and you'll get yours!!!
REMEMBER THAT!!!
F*cking birds. Got one a few days ago.

All the gear, all the time.......No exceptions!
She's only just got her L's, like 2 months ago. Kind of a shock, lol. She is however asking when the bike can be back on the road, what is always a good sign.
Yeah, Heard some horror stories about Birds and bikes.
