Wow, there are decent cops around

Was heading to work this morning, lane split past one car to get to the front of the lights and took off, nothing extravagent, just making sure I get out of the way first rather then slowing down the cars behind me.

Got up to a nice speed in preparation for my favourite corner. Gas it pretty hard out of the corner before slowing down (about 20 over), and the car I lane split past pulls up next to me. I'm thinking some dude in a commondore doesn't like bikes lane splitting.

Then, I see the AFP badges on their jumpers! I'm thinking I'm stuffed! The cop in the passenger seat says, "Slow Down!", I do and they take off. Didn't speed the rest of the way to work.
    Thanks boys!

They are your regular cops in the ACT...the AFP has jurisdiction in the ACT for domestic police because the ACT doesnt have a 'state' or territory police force like everywhere else...

Yep in the ACT your AFPs are also your locals. However there's any number of reasons they didn't stop you, just be thankful

ACT Policing - AFP - they're the ones we have to watch out for.
Although I hardly see any ever on the roads.

I get this 'decent cop' thing a fair bit actually... in the last month I've had a visual warning (cranked their lights + siren from the other side of the road so I slowed down like a good boy), an angry wave from a cop with a hair-dryer (mouthing the words 'slow down') and also a quick blip of the siren whilst speeding and splitting past cops in an unmarked car, I slowed down, they came along side me, gave me a nod and buggered off. Weird... I would've been at least 20km/h over in each instance... I think I'm just lucky that the cops probably had far more important agendas than reprimanding a punk on a 2-fiddy...
