I have read reviews, done as much research as I think I can etc etc so I though I would post it up here to
see if I could get some real world opinions. Any thing you could tell me would be appreciated

This revised model is so new I doubt many people here have one yet. However anyone with a ZX14 can give you an honest opinion as I don't think much has changed, more power, electronic assists, slightly revised look. I will watch this thread with interest as I have had an eye on these too.
Had the opportunity to ride the new 14' on Wednesday through the suburb's....A lot more agile than I imagined and belies it's own size ...very smooth and responsive (brand new with zero k's) comfortable riding position, clear instrumentation, great mirrors and at twenty grand I can see it being a good seller for Kwacka....
it' will do everything and more that you will ever ask of it yet you will still be disappointed because every time you go to ride it you will have to look at how ugly it is.

I havent looked into what the revised one sells for but the 2011 had a list rrp of 19990 plus onroads. Often deals had em selling for that ride away.
I was gonna wait for the revised model, not knowing exactly what was getting revised, but had heard rumours of abs/traction control, got bored one day back in May, took a 2010 demo for a spin, was blown away by the whole package, ergos, smoothness, agility and obviously expecting it had more than enough power, and obviously wasnt disapointed. So good I thought, why would they need to make it better and picked up a brand new 2010 model for $19k rideaway. Didnt feel like it needed the extra gizmos as it is a pretty smooth bike.
Yes they are definately more agile than the size/look suggests. It just cruises where other bikes are pushing to keep up, including twisties. Cant remember who, but someone jumped on mine one night at the pub, and the couldnt believe the weight feels like it disappears just by picking it off the sidestand, a sign that the 257kg of the old model (less with aftermarket cans) is carried down low.
Good range of adjustability available out of stock suspension... it handles well, but a tweak by marty moose damn near puts em on rails, mind you I ditched the OEM rubber when i traded my old bike and put my near new Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa's on it when I got it.
The restyle is a bit polarising. I like the new headlights, but the old style are still brilliant. I prefer the white dash dials off my bike, infact the rest of the restyle I prefer the prefacelift.
Exhausts were huge on the old model, now theyre a monstrosity!! But I, like most owners put some nice after market cans on it anyway. Simple fix.
Obviously 90 more cc sounds good, as does the electricery theyve added (abs and traction) But the pre facelift model gets by fine without it. I dont find any need or want to trade up...... maybe if they come out with a supercharged version of the new donk (they use the zx14 motor supercharged in their jetskis) Then Ill be tempted. Tempted to have 2 ZX14's.. I still love mine, and strangely my old man prefers the ZX14 ergos over my old Z1000, so Im sure Id find a use for 2.
Swan sent my insurance renewl in (Kawasaki branded Swan cover), wanted $1800, did a new online quote with Swan and coulda dropped it to $1200 on their sports rider policy only eligible after you have licence for certain period, oh and no claims, $1500 on their standard maxirider policy.
Im 30, Just scored QBE cover for $1079, lot better than the renewl that came in. Insuremyride were slightly cheaper again, but Ive heard better things about QBE. $4k gear cover standard on the policy.

If history repeats with Kawasaki, they will drop the rrp on the 10 and 14 by $4k by May/June. They used to do that every year and I always thought how much it would suck to have spent $20k for a kwaka sportbike in April only to see it advertised $4k cheaper the next month
wasnt much discounts around with the 14, they stock a whole lot less of them. Busa's could be got way cheaper...
yes, i am ignorant

no, i don't care

There's a good write up on the first test on Australian soil in the latest copy of AMCN.
I could scan it and post it up, but it's probably not good form to do that.

Well just read that amcn article. Shit even the side strikes don't look toooooo bad in the black colour. You are right Steve.. They have narrowed front of seat and tank to get smaller people on it. 1kg lighter rear wheel than my model... But 10mm longer swingarm on an already long bike may take away a bit of what it had left in the twistys. Mind you it will make it more stable when it hits mid corner bumps..
which mines bloody good at soaking up. Of interest to me is the the stiffer springs front and rear. Overall after looking at the review... The new styling isn't as yuck as i first thought.... Still gotta ditch them cans tho.
And yeah.. Surprised price is still listed at $19990. Damn near unbeatable package considering the money.

Oh and 22L tank even thou they narrowed it. Im sure mines 21 bit yeah im sure if i stuck to speed limit i could wrangle 400km out of mine. Regularly get 270km even having fun in twistys. Lol only used touch over half a tank at trakdayz.
Amcn weighed bike in ready to ride at 266kg. Up a bit but you'd expect that with new electronics especially abs.
Mine is no hassle at all without the electrickery... So 10mm shorter wheelbase, nearly 10kg lighter... I thinkin mine will still be a bit sharper.

fastest road bike ever built? i would say yeah why not
Our Father, Who art at Phillip Island, Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done
In the backroads as it is on the freeway
Give us this day our high-octane premium fuel
And forgive us our lanesplitting
As we forgive the four wheel drives, the volvos and the taxis
And lead us not into gravel corners
But deliver us from hand-held radars
For thine is thy leather, thy denim, thy Gore-Tex and thy Kevlar
