ABC TV news reporting a second Bike Vs Car fatality this afternoon. I think they said in Casuarina? Can't find any details on the news websites as yet. if it's true, another black day on our roads.

RIP Rider.
When the only tool you have is a hammer, every thing starts to look like a nail
Rip to rider and family
According to this mornings news one rider collided with a Ute being driven by a 13 yo girl.
A second rider was on group run with about 30 other riders.
Perfect weather for riding yesterday, lots of bikers out there enjoying it. Sure hope they were happy right up to the end.
Sincerest sympathy to family and friends of the deceased.
Friends are like potatoes, if you eat them they die.
Tri´umph`er. n. 1. (Rom. Antiq.) One who was honored with a triumph
Rest in peace rider. Shit, two in one day... condolences to all he left behind.
A 13 year old being given driving lessons by her grandfather, the Harley went wide and hit them.
Ouch.
Why does the media call all motorcyclists Bikers or Bikies . Im a motorcyclist not a bikie ?? . The 13yo would not have had a learners permit and is prob too young to charge. The grandfather on the other hand was responsible for the child and he should be charged and jailed. Its not rocket science and a 13 yo can not drive or have the brain capactiy to cope with driving conditions.Yes they might be able to drive on a farm but not on a road . What a idiot the Grandfather is ( Really ) what a tosser. His actions have killed a person and devestated a family . The 13yo has to live with this for her whole life that she killed a person. Two familys are in ruin all because this man ( Grandfather ) was irresponsable
Teenager likely to face charges over fatal crash - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
Police say a 13-year-old girl is likely to be charged over a fatal accident in the southern Perth suburb of Casuarina.
A 46-year-old man from Serpentine died when his motorcycle went wide on a bend on Orton Road yesterday and crashed head-on into a utility.
The girl driving the car was being given driving lessons by her grandfather.
Police say the girl is likely to be charged with driving without a licence and her grandfather with allowing an unlicensed person to drive.
I think that is a little harsh, from the limited information available, it would appear that the Harley rider went wide on a bend and crashed into the ute on the wrong side of the road. The fact that the ute was being driven by a 13 year old may not have had any relevance to the accident occurring at all. Irresponsible yes, but laying all the blame at the Grandfather's feet is to my mind unfair.
Caveat, I wasn't there, so don't know full circumstances, don't know if a more experienced driver could have taken some avoiding action.
Whatever the circumstances, a rider died and that is very sad.
Adventure before Dementia
Point being if no 13 year old driving then there would have been no car to hit.
Rip rider condolences to family.
Wot he said!
Then there may have been another car for the rider to hit? We will never know.
From all reports the guy on the Harley ran wide on the corner and hit the ute head on. Without knowing how much warning the ute driver had, we will never know if the ute, being driven by an experienced driver, could have avoided the accident.
Little life lesson for you - just because a motorbike and a car have a crash doesn't always mean the car is at fault. If you start automatically thinking "fucking cagers" everytime you read or hear about an accident then you are no better than the media who always report that the bike collided with the car and the speed was a factor.

I'm all for teaching kids to drive from a young age, I learnt to drive on my parents farm when I was about 10. Had my own bommy old farm ute to get around in when by the time I was 12. However, I have never even heard of someone so stupid as to teach a child to drive on a public road. Completely negligent, I find it difficult to comprehend what was going on in his head when he decided that taking her for a sunday drive on a public road was a good idea. I feel sorry for the girl, and hope he cops something a lot worse than just allowing an unlicenced person to drive.
RIP riders, condolences to family.
