any yamaha owners received registered mail from yamaha NSW recently?

I have been away and have come back to find a postal slip to pick up a registered mail item.

after going to the post office i found it had already been returned to sender and the sender was yamaha NSW.

Has anyone else recently received any registered mail from yamaha australia? i was wondering whether its worth my time chasing down, since i am only a little intrigued what yamaha could possibly want to tell me that is so important to require registered mail?

hehe i should send them a letter back claiming for a couple of weeks worth of tooling, troubleshooting, scratching my head, cursing out my dream bike and cursing out yamaha in general.

but im over it now, bike has been flawless otherwise. Completely ECLIPSING the trusty old zx6r beater that i traded for it, thanks kwaka

If it was a letter, wouldn't it just be put in the letter box?

When i bought my R1's i got a slip in the mail, ended up being a big yamaha calendar and a hat. The other time was the 07R1 supplementary book.

the tps part was revised (twice) and by the time the 2006 model bikes were released had been resolved. That doesnt mean the part is the same for the 2007/08 bikes ubt it would be pretty surprising if the problem reappeared.

It will be a TPS recall notice for the YZF-R1, FJR1300 and Warrior's before 2006 ... As FJrSteve suggested, I can check for you if your unsure... I'd require your registration no# or the last 6 digits of your chassis.. Even if your not the first owner, It wouldn't hurt to check..

    Pm me if you like.....

Why would they send a notice registered mail???

Its their responsibility to make sure you get the notice (could be dangerous) and this way you are required to sign for it so they know.
