Bike down Welshpool Rd- rider ok

Just heard that a friend's bike got totalled on the corner of Welshpool Rd and George St in the last hour. He was stopped (I assume at the stop sign) when he saw a guy driving up behind him who was obviously not paying attention, or slowing down. My mate jumped off his bike just in time, just before the car ran his bike down and proceeded to park on top of it. The rider is fine, didnt get a scratch, but the hyosung is a write-off.

Posting just in case anyone saw the wreckage and got worried.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon! Press the brake foot as you roll around the corners, and save the collapse and tie up.

Wow, I've always wondered if I would be able to react in time if this sort of thing happened to me. Hopefully I never have to find out. Good to hear that your friend is ok.

Whoa, that was a good call...I would've been hard pressed to jump off the bike in case the guy did stop in time

Lol...and the bike would be in perfect nick, not a scratch.

I'll want to be buried in an iron casket...for the extra irony

but he didn't have a crash he wasn't even on the bike
just some twat parked on his bike while at a stop sign.
    so rule one doesn't apply.
although could have prevented bike being parked on by just pulling into traffic.

at least there won't be an issue with insurance - you if completely run over a bike at the stop sign, its going to be your fault - hopefully he can get some cash from it and upgrade from a hyo
good to hear he's okay though.

My mate's bike was fully insured, so he will have no problems. The other guy....not so sure about that. Either way, the hyoflungdung is covered, now the fight for an R1 commences with his wife.

Happened about 8.15 this morning. I was pretty impressed to see no one got injured, if he didn't jump off he would have been pushed on to Welshpool road and its bloody busy that time of morning. If the ass hat driver doesn't get charged with something I'd be surprised.

The death of any HYOFIGHTER is shame.

Spectacular effort from rider - is he like a ninja in his spare time?

I wish someone had this on video, it would be impressive.
