No sympathy then. I just feel for the family. They didn't do anything to deserve it.

This is really unfortunate and I have no idea why he would ride without a helmet, I agree with Orson I can't imagine what the family is going through right now.

That is correct. Like I said, I feel for his family. They do not deserve this tragedy. I'm certain they wish they could have done something to prevent it, but I'm going to assume none of them were with him when he made to conscious decision to go for a fang without a lid.
Seeing as how the helmet thing came up, I thought I'd mention how I felt about it. Same as how I have no sympathy for somebody who doesn't wear a seatbelt in a car.
As for the "bloody idiot" comment, you are welcome to speak of me as you please Mr Whizz. But I always wear a helmet (in addition to as much other protective gear as is practicable) so if I die on my bike in a single vehicle accident, at least the news report won't say anything about lack of protective equipment

Preliminary checks reveal a rear fender that did not comply to the 45 degree rule was deemed as the cause for the crash...
Eating a tree without a helmet was deemed as cause of death...
But, christ 2AM through Byford with out a helmet.... Brrrrr.
