WTF...
Quote:
|
A 37-year-old Roleystone motorcyclist became WA's 223rd road toll victim for 2007 when his high-powered machine hit a car at the Hodges Dve-St Michaels Ave intersection, Connolly at 9.55pm on Friday.
|
and then..
Quote:
The man was riding his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle east on the drive and collided with a Holden Commodore turning right into the avenue, Snr Const Stuart Sagar said.
Skid marks did not indicate the motorbike was speeding above the avenue's 80kmh limit.
But it could have been weaving between lanes, Snr Const Sagar said.
|
RIP rider.......
worst piece of written crap I have seen in a long time... it could have been ???

Yeh could have been doing highchair wheelies & full of heroin & on the run from a murder. Typical MC'ist demonising crap. Same with the "high-powered machine" crack. Shits me.
RIP Dave. Sorry for your loss, Courts.

WTF does that that have to do with anything? And WhoTF is this f***ing Snr Const Sagar to make a comment like that about what appears to be a car pulling out into traffic?
Jesus, it's like they're making excuses for this vehicle to take out a motorcyclist.
So he was weaving down the road.
Between traffic? Then why did she pull out?
Crossing from one lane to the other to alleviate boredom of an empty road and being forced to do 80?
Dodging cats and dogs on the road? Sand and debris from the wind last night?
Or is this just a stab in the dark at why someone didn't see a bike with it's headlights on travelling at a speed that seems to have been inside the posted and recommended for that area?
RIP, Dave.
Was good to have ridden with you.

this is never something we wanna hear BUT I tell you when I read wife n Kids it really brings it home
I know there's always gunna be a family ....... but really makes me sick that my kids could one day be affected by these stupid idiots that dont give a shit about looking for bikes when driving
I honestly wish it was compulsary for all car drivers to do a bike course so they are as aware of whats happening on the road as we are! Might sound stupid BUT I know I'm a better driver in a cage after being on 2 wheels.

Shit so sorry too hear courts of your loss
RIP Dave, Condolences to family and friends
When I went through last night the bike was pretty messed up. so was the front of the other car.
As moorby said earlier it's a three way 'give way' intersection. Good in theory i suppose isn't it. Stupid fuckers still don't look for us.
Was he on his way home from the FNR????

Yeah I know...smells like bullshit to me. Seems like a cager is trying to pull stereotypical excuses out of his ass to protect himself.

In the freeway accident, the victims were injured at about 11.20pm when a V8-powered Holden Commodore with two men went up the Mitchell Fwy off-ramp in front of the Perth Convention Centre, colliding with a Ford Falcon carrying a couple.
|
Faaark. I went past that last night too....
RIP Dave, you have my utmost sympathy Courts. I can't even begin to express how this kind of attitude toward motorcyclists shits me.

I had a huge rant when I posted the link to the article about the way the reporter has writen the article, the way he/she words it to blame the motorcyclist. All I can say is the comment by the cop "weaving between lanes" its either 1) motorcyclist attempting to avoid car or 2) piss poor excuse from the cager who is still at fault for failing to give way.
Unless im reading it wrong, the car driver was coming from the freeway direction when turing right into St Michals Ave.. For those not familiar with the area, the freeway is elevated, you can see traffic clearly for a very long distance and if im not mistaken you can see the intersection of the accient, and far beyond clearly, even if dark you can see a HEADLIGHT. I don't see how they are not already brought up on charges..
I feel horrible about your friend Courts.. Let us know if his family needs help or anything, will do what I can

Agree with everything you have said Triton...this was inexcuseable (from the driver's point of view).....unless they were drunk, then their condition is inexcuseable.
Sagar's gonna get some hate mail.
