Just heard new flash on the radio, car Vs bike cnr Leach & Albany Hwy's. Hope not too serious

Was a car and 3 bikes, one on its side at albany hwy carousel, 3 lanes blocked, fire trucks, 2 ambos, car compketely fucked, saw a blue/white r1 with gold rims on the deck I think. Hope all is well....

It was fiesta vs trafficlight pole vs hayabusa at Leige st and albany hwy near HJ's.

I was on the blue/white R1 2 metres from the Busa when he got hit.. Young girl ran a red light (atleast 5 sec after it changed red) and I had to hit the brakes hard to avoid her hitting me, the bloke on the Busa next to me hit her almost head on.
Not a very good sight to see especially when it's right next to you, makes me want to start driving the cage into work, especially around this time of year!

The Busa (1EV-***), Gordon, was in alot of pain but is not seriously injured at this stage, he was taken to the hospital.
Plenty of witnesses saw the accident and the police took a few statements.

Its good to see that someone knew their motorcycle first aid and looked after Gordon properly. Also good to see he was wearing the proper safety gear.

Problem this time of the year is that all the dicks that can't drive think that it is time to get in the cage and head off down to the shops. Same as when it rains all the idiots that normally catch the bus get in their cars and head off. They can't drive for shit. And then you get the drivers that think they can do as they want or are away with the fairies when they drive, when they hit someone on a bike they say "I didn't see him/her" yea and the reason you didn't is because you weren't looking you dick. It should be instant disqualification of licence for saying that shit.

So many people running red lights. I was out on the bike today for only about 20 minutes in to CBD and back. I saw 2 cars blatantly run reds and it seemed like every car i pulled up next to the driver was busy tapping away on the smart phone. This shit is just getting worse and worse.

I totally agree with what you guys are saying. I see approx. 1 in 10 cars some stupid people either using their smartphone or blatantly have their right hand next to their ear talking on the phone. Pretty much, a bus before her ran the red light and then she came through at a bit of speed.. she hit with enough force to send the bike in the opposite direction it was heading and take out a traffic light.
