CBR-RR vs car, Leach hwy

outside Bunnings corner Leach hwy & North Lake road.

Late 90s silver & yellow CBR 929 or whatever was produced back then.

I drove past just as the ambo was arriving. Bike was standing up, rider laying on ground 2 ppl tending to him (pretty sure it was a him - helmet still on).

Must've happened only minutes prior while I was in Bunnings. 4.40ish pm

yellow and silver, and 929 = 2001, like my old one. early nineties models were 919's.

I can't say for sure it was a 929, that was just a guess. But it definitely had CBR in big letters on the side like the linked one above.

Just came down North Lake at 8.30 and there are two two trucks and police wagon at North Lake and South Street. Then further down North Lake another tow truck and Police Sedan at intersection with Lesoueff. Mrs Lin saw a Scooter on this tow truck. Not sure what has happened no ambulance there.

that wasnt a bike accident, i saw the police load someone into a paddy wagon, there was some sort of man hunt going on because there were 4 or 5 cars sweeping the area actively searching for something/someone. I initially thought there must be a car down on the oval, but there isnt, something is going on though. wish i had a scanner.

Yes wondered if it was stolen scooter. Been a few go form Murdoch recently.

I went passed about ten mins earlier and another tow truck was stopped at North lake and Lesoueff with lights flashin then the flat top that had been in the service station took its place with scooter on board. My scanner has died.

that was just outside my work
well just outside where i park my car

when i went past
around 5pm
there were 2 police cars, 2 tow trucks and an ambulance
bike was up and i couldn't see the rider or the other car

police looked like they were talking to a witness

bike was a lot more black then the one shown above
and i think a gun metal grey as well as the yellow
but i can't be sure

about a week before another bike vs car happened about 100m down the road
outside my work
was a guy who works in the section next to me

i get feckin scared sometimes pulling out onto leach from my work cause of all the cars trying to get around trucks and from cars doing u turns to get to the petrol station
not fun at all

i hope who ever it was is ok
i couldn't see too much damage to the bike
but i could be mistaken

I was actually going to post something about this when I got home although I see another thread has popped up already.

If anyone saw the accident or was knows anyone who does, as you may already be aware, the police are appealing for witnesses so please come forward.

I work with the girl involved, the bike was a CBR600 F model I think, she was apparently leaving Bunnings and was hit by the truck when it merged into her lane. I do not have all the details as I haven't spoken to her first hand. She has said, and other witnesses as well, that the driver stopped, muttered something about it being her fault and then proceeded to leave,

no one took down any details, a good description or got the rego of the vehicle.

The rider is doing ok, some broken bones, internal organ damage, mainly bruising and has since had an operation to pin her wrist and arm and will be out of action from her job for the majority of the rest of the year. She will miss some good opportunites as a direct result. It was her master hand.

If anyone can help, please contact the police. Regardless of who was at fault if you leave the scene of an accident you are in my humble opinion, a worthless excuse for a human being and should be bought to account for your action or lack of.
