Cheap Helmet Deal on Bike Biz
Dont know if this is the right spot etc..
However just noticed on Bikebiz.com That they have 2 RST Helmets for 199.95 + delivery..
Might suit people looking for a new helmet and a spare etc..
I dont know how good they are etc but if you team up with a mate might be a good way to get a semi decent cheap helmet for Pillions
MOTORCYCLE ACCESSORIES - BIKEBIZ
Cant link direct but there is a link off the above page..
I am in no way affiliated with bikebiz or RST helmets.. Just thought I would pass on what I saw

Not sure about RST but I bought a new top of the line Shoei (exactly the same as my old one) from them a week ago and it arrived within 2 days of placing the order. Very fast customer service!

$199 for two of them! Good for a backup for that next inevitable accident.

don't know anything about these helmets, but just in general... Why would you put anything on your pillion that you wouldn't put on your head?

I'd say its a style thing rather than a safety thing - these arent unsafe helmets, but alot of people are happy to pay a bit extra for a helmet that has a certain design or whatever...
EDIT: having said that, the design on these is quite cool...

i've found Bike Biz great to deal with in the past and they usually have great prices and like this great specials, so they're worth keeping an eye on.

They all pass the same Australian Standards tests mate...
For the odd time I carry a pillion I dont see an issue with using something like this... Better than the 15 year old dirtbike helmet that you see some people pillioning with..

just to add to the info, these helmets have a 3 star sharp rating which is the same as a shoei xr-1000($800), so $100 each is heaps good

Anyone know if these have the Australian standards sticker on them or if they're gray imports.

i would suggest anyone buying one check they are AS std approved (as 'iduno' above) cause i would say that 'race spec' means they dont require the AS sticker and arent legal for road use...
EDIT: just checked with Bikebiz and they are AS approved...

Hey guys, anyone else keen to go halves in these? I need a helmet for test rides as I sold mine with my bike and one of these will do until I buy a good (not that these aren't good but I want something nice when I get my new bike)
PM me if you're keen...

sorry to ressurect an old thread, i recieved my helmet today, just thought i'd post up on the quality. the venting system on this thing is insane, i can't see how it could be improved. so i guess that would help eliminate alot of the visor fogging that i hear so much about. its very sturdy, mine was a very solid fit, if anything slightly too tight so it should be perfect when its had a bit of use. the fibreglass shell is something usually found on the more expensive helmets so thats a plus too.
certainly reccommended for a first helmet/pillion helmet even for $150 if you cant find a buddy to buy with.
