Would have loved to have seen them doing some real police work a whole episode dishing out tickets for doing 7 over the posted limit handing out stickers for cars that are too low or too high seat belt infringmnets.
stuff that motorists can relate to not this high action baddy catching.
wonder if it will get a run on Go or Mate any time soon.
Scene New Zealand 1978
I remember this radio transmission so clearly and we pissed ourselves even if back in 1978. We were on evening/ night patrol Friday night.
C74 was Tokoroa Traffic Patrol on evening/ night shift
Charlie 74-- Hamilton Traffic
Hamilton Traffic Recieving Charlie 74
Charlie 74: Do you have todays newspaper handy?
Hamilton Traffic: Wait One I will get it.
HamiltonTraffic- Charlie 74 what information do you require
Charlie 74- can you turn to the TV guide and let us know what time "CHIPS" starts tonight.
Hamilton Traffic went dead!
expect more delays on the freeway now. leave earlier and don't speed.
they should be out and about on friday and saturday night, easier to catch idiot motorists and more chance of actually seeing an idiot doing something wrong e.g. no seatbelt, no lights (stealth mode), drunk driver swerving all over the road, sratching the barriers on the right side and nearly collecting other motorists in the middle lane etc etc..
Damn .. I hope they are not going to return to picking on bikes who are lane-splitting / filtering though the peak hour freeway traffic.
Bike patrols target freeways - The West Australian
Well the way I see it they will still be able to ping plenty of morons like that during the hours they have specified, especially on Roe Hwy and the southern stretch of the Kwinana, some of the traffic that hits the freeway just after knock off time at some of the industrial estates is ridiculous, its like being involved in GTA
Chicks can't ride.

Would be nice to see some people on the freeway getting done for dick moves like tailgating, and police encouraging drivers in the right hand lane to speed up, but unfortunately as soon as a lot of Perth drivers see a police car they drop 20km/h as if they are some wanted criminal or something.
This is going to suck!
I just wanna kick one (a bike) and watch them all fall over... C*nts!
lets see 1120 people stopped... 30 actually pineappled...The expanded fleet was tested last week, with 1120 vehicles stopped.
Three people were arrested outstanding warrants and 27 people were summonsed for 45 charges including seven reckless driving offences.
1090 people were stopped because??? .... WTF !

Hopefully this will increase awareness from cagers to keep a better eye out for bikes..
Straight roads are for fast bikes - corners are for fast riders!

I've met and had the pleasure of riding with some chicks that could probably out ride you Desmo. Keep your sexist opinions to yourself. We don't live in the '40's anymore.

Was woondering why my 3 olive Martini hadn't shown up, the missus is still at work!
seriously though, if it improves driver behaviour then I am all for it, Thomas St in West Perth through to Charlies/UWA is used a racetrack most days, mainly tradies but you also see falcodores/ricers/euro sports cars and bikes belting along there until about 0700, then everyones brain seems to start working properly and they drive at a "normal" pace

i'd like to see a motorbike cop go and park in the centre of some roundabouts and ping every idiot who blocks the intersection.
