Goodbye to a furry companion

There aren't many things to make an old tuff biker cry.

Unfortunately this is one of them.

Tao was just under 18 months old when given to me. She was my dads, but when he passed away I looked after her. She was great company when I was feeling depressed about my dad, and the best pet I have ever had.

Now after almost 14 years she has passed & is hopefully now with my father again.

Goodbye to an incredible loving companion.

Not a cat fan but do understand the sentiment. I have two labradors (not big cat lovers either) who are approaching their 14th birthday. Good age for labs but that day is coming.
Can't imagine not having pets in my life. At this time of year some muppets will be buying first pets for their kids only to find they can't be bothered with the grooming, excersing etc.
I bet London to a brick there will a plethora of unwanted animals come mid january. Good time to pick up Tao Mk 2

Nawwwww. Tao is a very pretty girl. She reminds me of mine albeit with a little longer hair, who sadly saw her last day on Oct. 4th this year. She was nearly 9.

Pogo, like Tao, was the most amazing, comforting friend I've ever had. She helped me through my wifes passing and showed me the greatest love, affection and barefaced cheek every single day that I had her.

I think I know what you're going through. Even now my heart aches every single day, and the tears still flow. It's bloody tough. Feel free to PM me if ever you need an ear.

I too understand how you feel. My little man was horribly taken from me at only 5 years old, around this time last year.

It hurts a lot in the beginning, but as you get over the grief of them not being around, the thought of them slowly starts to heal your heart. You remember all the good times and can smile at your memories of them.

Condolances... over a year since my best mate Buddy the border collie left and I still miss him heaps...we have a rescue dog, Bella the retriever now and a sweeter dog you could not find, it is the best thing you can do for any animal... my advice is don't wait too long

Mate, We lost our old mate a year or so ago at 16.5yrs(Staffy) and all I tried to think about was all the good times he gave. They give more than they take. Remember Tao and think of those times.
