The Australind shots were done either 3-6 weeks ago or 6-8 months ago.
They happened to catch my GPX in the driveway back at home, and those are the times I was back down there.

its been brought up that they sent teams of people out there to collect data on you without your consent, which admittedly seems a little bit dodgy when you look at it that way - but seriously, you need consent to take photos of a public street like you need consent to sit on the grass at a park.
this person I have been debating with (who, for privacy reasons, will remain nameless ) has a pretty strong opinion on it - I just basically wanted to find out if any of you felt the same way.

I think people just like getting their knickers in a twist. People like fighting.
Eventually this will die down as people will just realise that they are morons.

Personally I think it's pretty useful.
When looking up a route on google maps, it's going to be nice to have a look at the streetview of intersections and such, and should make it much easier to memorise a route prior to taking it.
Particularly, it will be nice to have a look at any unusually designed roundabouts or intersections, which aren't always clear from the map view.

Fuckers didn't make the effort of turning down my street.
They did, however, take a trip down Kevin Bloody Wilson's street

Aside from various ethical & moral dilemmas I have about the whole thing, I don't think I like the idea that the entire world has been catalogued in some giant database. Takes a bit of the mystery away.

A mate at work was a little worried that someone could see his gas bottles on the side of his house and come and nick them. haha. Doesn't bother me. I long for the day vehicles, cars and bikes are fitted with whizbang GPS systems that project a 3D rendition of something like streetview over your visor or windscreen to direct you.
