The driver of the ute lived because he was probably pissed which makes your body relaxed which makes it able to withstand greater g-forces in a crash. Drink drivers almost always survive crashes when the other drivers are usually seriously injured or killed. i hate drunk drivers.

Stoneville I don't think it was on the bus ramp.
Ordinarily if you don't know an area you follow the signs so you can be sure you don't drive the wrong way down a one-way street etc.
We are all just speculating here but it looks very much like the ute driver was intoxicated and became disoriented.

RIP to the young lady.
Why is it this time of year that the road toll spikes? Holidays i can understand as the increase in people on the road but its weeks before.
Very sad to hear about.

End of semester, end of year, daylight saving, warmer weather, dry roads (and therefore more risk-taking than during winter), more events and social gatherings, more alcohol consumption, more young / inexperienced / inattentive drivers on the roads.

What a moron. Why can't they have those things like they have in carparks to stop you leaving through the entrance? The steel things that flatten your tyres and fold back when you go the right way. RIP

If that's the case, then he should not have gotten behind the wheel. Disoriented or not, its no excuse.
Poor girl. RIP

+1
Although I don't think there is a pineapple out there big enough for this guy.
People like that should be charged with manslaughter.
IMO if the driver was sober, you would have thought the would have pulled over in emergency lane and attempted a U turn when safe.
A very sad waste of a young life RIP

May you be raped in hell by Peter North.

This is beyond belief.
No licence.
No headlights.
DUI (blew .24)
Bench warrant out for his arrest due to failing to turn up to court for an earlier DUI charge.

Driver of the ute was pissed off his tits.
Client of mine came home from the hospital (nurse) yesterday morning and said she had to attend to this cunt. Lets just say that pain killers were in short suppy for quite some time....

Hello, you've reached the psychiatric hotline. If you are obsessive/compulsive, press 1 repeatedly. If you have multiple personalities, press 2, 3, 4, and 5. If you are simply paranoid, just stay on the line - we know who you are.

RIP young lady....
The question now is, if the justice system hits this guy hard!? Very hard in my opinion...life without parole, never to be released again.
