The search function seems a bit buggy?

When clicking a username to view all forum posts by a user, search results show me all threads started by that user.

Similarly with an advanced search: search for posts by username, search results show me threads started by username.

Also I don't like some any of the new smileys ... too small and washed out:

on my profile, if i click the last page of my yellow stickers list, and then click on first page, it returns me to the main profile screen, not 1st page of yellows

Is there any way to get around the 2 clicks to post a message when you need/want to use emoticons? At the moment if you hit the +Reply to Thread or Reply With Quote buttons all it does is go to the Quick Reply box, then you need to click Go Advanced to get the emoticons/smilies, align buttons, insert email addy, text sizes, spoiler tags etc
I know it can be done from the admin section but am unsure whthere it can be done via the user Cp
