Idiot hour has begun....
Just drove up the freeway and watched the most incredible drunk driving I have ever seen. The dude was all over the place, moving from the emergency lane to the centre lane. He even came very close to knocking a motorcyclist (red naked - rider in hi-vis) off. On police instruction we got his rego and followed him at a safe distance. He bounced off several median strips before getting home and falling out of his car. Cops then told us that 'as long as he's home now, all's good'. They didn't have any spare vehicles.
Anyhow, long story but the main point is be careful out there people. Cage + grog + Friday night = murder...

Unfortunately because he made it home, nothing can be done. Hopefully the video and letter to his family might change his view of DUI

Not sure whats happenign on the road today, decided to cage it today, considering how busy the freeway was and the crazy drivers I spotted coming in im glad I didnt ride. random cars cutting across 3 lanes of traffic, cutting in front and overtaking to the next lane blind, must be offical crazy day on the roads

Surely the evidence of the driving is enough to charge him with even if the drink driving was too hard.
In NZ you blew what ever and that was that, so if you went and had a drink after an accident or something like this it was just added to your total. None of this calculating back, as if a drunk can remeber the time they had last drink.
A mate did the same follwing some one and he was arrested at his house.

Yee ha.
We still have the only guilty if you get caught mentality.
I'm still reasonably safe to party, (likes it's 1984).
Best news ever.
Stay out of my way when i get home, coz if i wanna get home and i think there are no cops on the road, i'm havin a go.
If you can pick it up and start it, you are sober enough to ride it home.
Dont become the dobers!
Become the players!
Who on this forum has never driven with a few too many drinks under their belt. Who on this forum hasd never jumped in their car and thought, "if i get pulled over i might be gone"?
Watch your own backs for sure. But dont become the hipocritical dobers that have become the norm in this society.

In quite a mellow melancholy mood tonight mate?
Being over is one thing, being blind rotten drunk is another, If you have to close one eye whilst you drive, you've probably had too much.

Does the video have any recording of you calling the cops on it?
Would make sensational headlines...

Is it just me, or did I just see a golden opportunity to find out when cops are too busy to go after bikes ?
Joe Public: " We're following a drunk driver "
Officer Plod: " sorry mate, we're all on coffee and donut break for the next 2 hours "
Joe Public: " Awww shucks, time for a wheelie ! "

Wheelies out the front of the 'perp's' address as it may be the last place the cops would be looking.
