Be safe lads and lass's. tis the season for stupid drivers to be out in force so double check your mirrors and be ever vigilant.
The west just put this up
Motorcyclist dies after Hillarys crash : thewest.com.au
Quote:
A motorcyclist has died after running into a road sign and colliding with trees on a Perth road, police say.
Inspector John Gibson said the 24-year-old man was riding on Marmion Avenue in Hillarys, in Perth’s northern suburbs yesterday afternoon, when he crashed.
“He travelled through the intersection of Hepburn Avenue and then going around a left hand curb on the road the bike travelled onto the grass and sand median strip and collided with a road sign of some description before colliding with some trees,” Insp Gibson said.
The man died in hospital about 11pm last night.

Maybe target fixation....or *shock* a car changed lanes on him and forced him off the road.

Only from what I saw on the news. It did look like a CBR250. Round headlights, inline4 etc. However they where the only diginguising features left of the bike.

I was looking at the trees that have been put in by councils just the other day thinking how dangerous they are. Caves road kills heaps of people because of the trees now we are planting them in the middle of our roads ! RIP very sad.

OI! Dickhead.....what about motorcyclists that are being run down by drunken drivers? (Not suggesting that this is the case with this incident).
But...on a stretch of road like Marmion Ave, that is traffic light controlled every 5kms, and of good road surface/condition, what went wrong?
RIP rider. Another unfortunate, untimely, un-needed loss of life. Sincere condolences to family and friends.

RIP Rider.
Roadside tree planting is a practice encouraged by the councils to cause a visual illusion of the roads being narrower, hence making people slow down by them thinking they have less room on the road. Yet another cage orientated safety measure.

Just like the fucken poles planted in the centre of Fairway Circle, Connolly. Biggest waste of space yet, and an accident waiting to happen.

RIP mate
Marmion ave around Padbury has a few bends, its not the safest part of the Ave, cars pull out in front of me all the time.
Guess we'll never know how this happened to him.

RIP and condolences to family and friends during this sad time.
20 odd years ago the 'safety' feature was removing trees from the roadsides - how quickly we forget what the last generation had already figured out.
