    No more motorcycle

Well, 23-9-2010 a lady pulled out infront of me giving me 15mtrs of braking... I had no where to go except for straight, so I plowed into the rear left hand door doing about 40kmph. This was on Austin Ave in Kenwick Link.

People say I'm lucky, I guess my motocross training kicked in when i gripped with my knees and my arms went rigor mortis.. I managed to stay on the bike, with the back wheel going off the ground and slamming back down.

I think thats why my arms, and legs are sore... But my neck and back are giving me the shits..

    RIP bike.

Well I hope to see you all back out there again, once the insurance is sorted and got another bike, Ill be back out.

    Speedyjared.

Yeah. She had comprehensive insurance. Shes already claimed stating she was at full fault. Yeah I went to a quack, I spent 2 hours in the waiting room at 3 hours in there... Blood tests, urine test, chest xray, and some feeling up by the nurses im all good

If you go for a new bike, depreciation will be huge regardless of how many kms you ride it for. Sad fact.

I would view this as an opportunity to get out there and try bikes that are completely different to the Hyo. You never know what you might find!

Yeah but im a bit strapped for cash right now aswell.. they are selling the hyos pretty cheap and if i can get a brand new hyo for the same price as a second hand suzuki, yamaha, kwakka or honda... May aswell go new...

Dude. Thats a 60 zone. So if you were still doing 40kph after 15m of braking either you were going really quick, or you braking sux. at 60kph you should be able to stop a motorcycle in less than 15m.

Not saying its your fault, but maybe you need to work on braking/swerving. When you get your insurance check think about booking in for a advanced riding course.

Yeah I was doing 50 - 60 kmph. and in 15 mtrs that goes by that quickly. Ive done motorcross to know how to react. No chance of swerving unless you wanted me to take out 5 cars instead of 1, or drive into a curve and into a fence. I was in the process of slowing down and wiped 15kms off the speed. dont need a lecture.

And I dont know what speed I was doing. That speed of *40kmph* was the speed I SAW before i hit the car. For all I know I could of been doing 10 - 15.

I don't think you'd have hung on so well if it was a 40kph impact. Hyos are heavy and they'll absorb a lot of force, but not that much force.
