Rider down - Alexander Heights
Unfortunately can't give many details as it was still fairly dark and i only saw the bike on the side of the road pretty much as i passed it. Accident happened at intersection of Mirrabooka Ave and Griffon Way. Out the front of the Alexander Heights Shopping Centre - the Red Rooster to be exact. Not sure of the time - it was 6:40am when i went past.
Looked like the accident had happened a bit before that as there was no sign of a rider or ambulance. The police were just diverting traffic with quite a few police cars blocking off both roads. The road was clear of any vehicles - you could have driven past fine. Whats the go with that? Do they lock down roads after a major accident?
Bike details - well as i said it was still dark and i only caught a quick look at it. It was black and was probably a naked. But don't take my word on that.
Hope the rider is ok. Been thinking about them all the time since.

I live 100 meters from here. Heard the Ambo around 6ish. Never heard it leave. On my way to work at 8.30 i was diverted in the other direction. Lots of police cars, police taking measurements. The car that was on the side of the road had extensive damage to it's left side. Both doors caved in buckled roof and shattered windows and windscreen.
What surprised me was the bike (black) was behind it on it's sidestand. No sign of rider. Road was littered with debri. Fingers crossed all are or will be ok

I work at the shopping centre and noticed it all. Apparently took close on an hour for the Ambo to get there. Rider was thrown quite a distance...did not look good. Rider lying in middle of the left lane...and wasnt moving...rad was blocked off for quite some time this morning for measurements etc as mentioned before.
it was mentioned that the bike didnot have its lights on...strange I thought as most bikes are hardwired these days...
Looked like either a trumpy speed triple or duc monster goin by the exhausts but I didnt stop to look around as there were already plenty of onlookers etc there without me adding to it..

gc33, what time were you around the scene ?. I hope the info regarding the ambo taking an hour to get there is not correct. No news on any of the news sites... rider May have suffered only injuries and not worth reporting (i hope)

The cynic in me thinks that the no lights on has come from the mouths of a driver who is trying to shirk blame and is not aware that you can't turn the lights off motorcycles.
I hope the rider pulls through with no long term injuries.J's law,
"As an online discussion on PSB grows longer, the probability of someone blaming Kevin Rudd approaches 1."
