Just rode by all 3 services, fire, ambo and cops. Doesn't look good, looked to be car vs rider
Who ever you are, hope it is not as bad as it looks![]()

Just went past this too, it doesn't look great. I was hard to see in the dark, but possibly either an older or retro type sports bike, like a ZRX kawasaki.
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

Any traffic light-controlled junction is designed to seperate flows of vehicles. Barring a total mechanical failure (which account for 12 - 20% of accidents, depending on whose figures you trust), that leaves up to 88% caused by the operator.
Starts with inadequate driver training. Mix in some poor decision-making, add pinch of inattention, a touch of impatience and voila!
A light jumped, a lane change without indication, a rider down.
Get well soon rider.

This is awful. Hope they heal up quickly

Andymac - you forgot testosterone. So many idiots out there with a desperate need to weave through traffic to be first at the next red light.

i was the rider in this accident thankyou to the members wishing me well it put a smile on my face which have been quite rare at late. u peps are unlike a certain few who know nothing about the accident but feel the need to break it down like they have the greater knowlage then others, one in particular made no mention of how the person was or to get better, but only on testoserone can be the cause, i will say for the people who maybe care that i was not suffering from enlarged balls, but was told i turned right at lights into on coming car. impact i do not recall only flying in air and tumbling on road. i still cant take i pulled in front i dont ride like that!!! ive been riding for 20yrs. this is first bad crash only ever had 1 minor in 2006 which i was not at fault, things just dont add up no witnesses the damage to bike is not consitant the other driver doesnt know where i came from, who is nearly 82 yrs old also. can anyone help with some advice on wat to do its just not how it could of happened. can share lots of other details photos that i have left off here for reasons.

ive done that before from waiting to turn right from a red light no arrow on the turn. mine was brain fade early sat morning after too late a night.
you know how lights with arrows usually cycle the right turn first? well when the lights went green i gassed the right turn in front of all the cars cept there was no right turn arrow on these lights so i didnt have right of way was just lucky the oncoming was a solid grid of sleepy drivers who just got smoked by my WAW trained reaction time off the green.
Possible helmet blindspot mate , and depending on your age the addition of peripheral vision degradation to boot. Been studying up a little on the subject and is quite interesting. You will never notice it developing , and the only way to test it effectively is via an Opthamologist.
Best bet is to put it down to a bad day at the office and get back on!
It's done , you're alive, the rest is rock and roll![]()

Glad to hear you are still with us
I hope it gets sorted out OK I';m not a fan of 82 yr olds driving! though some are OK, but not many
Are you insured? If you have admitted fault you are stuffed, I think. If you have admitted you have no recollection of what happened you are very likely stuffed. Your word against his doesn't count for much if you are guessing.
Your insurance company will do the chasing up if it is their money. If you are uninsured you could talk to a lawyer, there are some on here who can tell you if they think that would be worthwhile and even suggest some names.
If there are CCTV cameras around the area you might be able to chase that up.
Written off bike + unable to work + pain and suffering might make it worthwhile going after the driver. Realistically though, you don't actually know he was at fault, and he says he wasn't. Without other evidence that is probably what a judge will say, too.
The type of damage present on the bike is useless to you unless you have some kind of expert witness who will say that it could not have happened like they said it did.
PS: I know nothing about the law.

Sorry I didn't mean you, I meant the idiots in cars who like to leave it to the last second to change lanes, leaving about a centimetre gap. The amount of times I've almost been clipped is ridiculous.
I apologise I didn't reiterate in my earlier post, I didn't mean to cause offense![]()

I did the exact same thing, only it was 20 years ago and I was going for my scooter license! Not only did I nearly kill myself and cause a massive pain in the arse for everyone else but the examiner gave me my license. WTF!
He put it down to me being half asleep as it was early in the morning ( pfft, 8.30 that ain't early, lazy fucker )
Anyway, I learnt a massive lesson that day that I will never forget. We all make mistakes.
As to who is to blame in your case Paul Pedretti is anyone's guess at this point mate. I hope you get some answers but at least it's good to know your " ok "
