what car club Zoiks? i was out with one too....
euro car club of australia
Wasn't Bunyack, just saw him.
was in a pretty big group ride, about 20 bikes i think when i went past
i saw only 5 bikes at that point, but saw another 10 bike group and another bigger group.
Just got off the phone to a mate. His boss and a mate were heading one direction and happened across a group of roughly 30 to 40 heading in the other at a usual pace for the road. Apparently a stragler at the end of that group was a little out of his depth and crossed the centreline head on into his bosses mate who is on holiday from NZ due to return tomorrow. He was airlifted to RPH and has had an op (not sure what for). He's understandably a little worse for ware but should recover well. FWIW he was riding a red early 90's duc.
No news of the other riders condition except that he wound up in a ditch.
Heal well guys.

be carefull out there guys, and if your out of your depth, SLOW DOWN
^^ WHS
Had a rant about crossing the centre-line ready to go, but meh... could have been panic-stand-up-braking, etc...
Heal fast...
stuff

Heal fast guys.
heal fast all parties involved! and keep safe!
Hi Guys,
I was in the group ride today of around 20 bikes.
The pack broke up into several groups due to traffic etc.
I rode around the corner just as the dust was settling!
Sickening feeling....
Didn't know the guy on the Yammie (mate of a mates mate kinda deal)
He collided with Ducati 600 coming the other way, then my buddy (next in line) rode his K8 Busa into the carnage and was struck by one of the bikes that was still spinning in the middle of the road.... so down he went and messed up the whole side of his bike including radiator. Doubt if it's a write off.
Ducati rider went Luge Style (Feet first on his back) into the trees and smashed his leg up pretty bad. Arms and wrists looked a bit worst for wear too. Left in Ambo, then picked up by RAC chopper at Weir Rec Centre a few mins down the road. Bike is salvageable.... I think.
Guy on the Yammie blew a hole in his Draggins knee areas and amazingly didn't lose any bark at all. (Testament to the quality of jeans) I did hear him say that he almost didn't put them on this morning! (faaark)
He hurt his legs, wrist and shoulder from what I could tell.
He left in Ambo. Bike I think is 'Intercoursed'
Busa rider got away with some 'Carpet Burn' looking rashes on his shin / calf area. Very lucky.
Thoughts go out to all concerned...... whilst I was having dinner tonight I couldn't help but think of the hardships in front of the two guys involved, and all the crap stuff that goes with being involved in an accident, ringing family and friends etc.
I hope they both have speedy recoveries.
Cheers
Mick
p.s Aphex he wasn't a straggler, he was actually in the front 1/2 of the group, and the bit about 'out of his depths' .......... not really for us to say.
"It's not speeding, it's qualifying"

Andy and I rode the Weir just after dinner, orange/yellow markings all over the road
Heal fast guys, glad to hear that they should all be OK
thanks for the update, sucks pretty bad!
hope all involved heal quick.. and are back on their feet and bikes soon...
