so guys, saw shapelle corby given 20 years plus a 1mil rupee fine, what do you think of the situation considering that the bali bombers got a LOT less than that.

No amount of genius can overcome a preoccupation to detail.

The verdict was always going to be guilty. Silly to think otherwise, given the commentary from the judges throughout the trial.

I have to agree with Lee for the same reason.
that and I think all the publicity with what our media was telling the Indonesians what they should be doing with their own judiciary system may have had some influence in the appointment of the three judges who'd never acquitted anyone of drugs charges...

Plus those other 9 assclowns could have influenced the decision too....

as for the fine, 1 million rupee - what's that in $AUD??

yeh and apparently kill 200 people aswell
what a huge kick in the balls this is to those families that lost their loved ones in the bombings, its just so so sad.
i actualy find this very upsetting because i recon she is innocent.

That'l learn er.

I just feel sorry for the dood that has been bankrolling her defense.

Spent and raised all that money and he is not going to be able to get to nail her..... naturally his main motivation.

So on the eight day, after wasting time faffing about with unimportant guff like heaven & earth & the waters & sky & creatures [& having a wee kip] & man.... God created PSB (GenesiSX-R1000)

Bali bomber blew up australians and balinese, hence why the indo's could not give a rats ass about that one. As for this situation? The judge had "70%" made up his mind after 2 weeks of the case. *shrugs* she goes to jail in indonesia i doubt she will last a year.

ooooh dude that's harsh ...he might have just wanted some advertising or a few minutes of fame...

still she'll prolly get sent back under that prisoner exchange thingy and will probably be under some sort of house arrest or something...

I do agree though... it is pretty messed up that a bomber can get away with less... while someone with 4kg's of pot gets 20 years...

all well and good to leave it up to their justice system, but that doesnt really hold water when their system is a complete farce. those judges have never found a person innocent. seems like its all just a process to justify their salary.

ah well, they will reep what they sow over the next few years in lost tourism dollars.

hahahaha Deej

They must have been worried about a food shortage from all the use of the pot causing the deaths of more than 200 people. God knows why they're harsher on drugs than they are to terrorists. Very strange

As everyone has said the Bali bomers got less than that. You can bomb a heap of Aussies if your one of them and virtually get away with it but they will persecute us for something heaps less.
The whole of Australia should boycott their shit hole of a country then see what they gota fu#*ing say...

if we boycott bali, then the government will just end up sending our hard earned money as aid anyways.. The good old pay off to indonesia to keep them at bay. Either you get a trip out of it or you don't...
