SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
for Damaging Winds, Large Hail and Heavy Rainfall
For people in parts of WA in an area bounded by Jurien Bay, Mount Magnet,
Leinster, Hyden and Bunbury. This includes people in, near or between Perth,
Mandurah, York, Dalwallinu, Narrogin and Bunbury.

A surface trough near the west coast in combination with a mid-level disturbance
approaching from the west will produce an area of severe thunderstorms. People
are advised that there is the risk of SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS from midday Tuesday.
Storms may be accompanied by VERY HEAVY RAINFALL conducive to FLASH FLOODING,
LARGE HAIL and DAMAGING WINDS that could cause DAMAGE TO HOMES AND PROPERTY.
At 9.50am satellite and radar imagery showed showers and thunderstorms over the
warning area.
The overall weather pattern is not unusual for this time of year, but these
thunderstorms may
produce severe weather in localised areas.
