The Chair Sniffer is Resigning
I'm really dissapointed by this, such a loss to politics. He was certainly a classy individual, popular with the women voters.
I'm even more saddened that we will now miss out on some truly epic mud-slinging come election time.

Exactly... it might have actually been interesting this year.

I hear he has quite a "nose" for the Ladies.....
The Libs are kidding themselves, even with the list (quite long) of problems with labor, they are going to get slaughtered - which is why the Nats are talking up the possibility of setting up a coalition with labor.
Possible news ... Troy Buswell expected to resign | PerthNow
One vote, one value, FTW!

Taylor,
WA Libs hav been a slow-motion train-wreck for some time now .... they just realised it, and they need a scape goat. I mean, how could they let Buswell keep the leader's job with the "unsavoury" issues around him. I'm all for letting the guy redeem his character over time, but you just can't keep him as leader with that sort of shit having happened.
They just need to get rid of Bazza Court to have any sense of credibility.
I wonder who will be the new leader? Surely Colin ("The Canal") Barnett wouldn't dream of running again, would he?

I wonder what sort of hard earned payout the useless prick will end up with? It's a pity a whole heap of his colleagues dont resign in protest.

His payout will be very little as he was elected and sworn in at the last election and the new superscheme is only applicable to him.

He hasn't quit politics, just the leadership. He could still hang around for decades.
Also, he's a first-termer, so he wouldn't get that much anyway

one vote one value is the worst thing to happen to this state. just ask anyone living in the country, they are now ignored because they don't have any voting power. Never mind that ALL of the states money comes from agriculture and mining which are DING DING DING in the country. The flying doctors situation is a prime example of the neglect of the country. Now that they dont have a vote they are second class citizens.
If the libs can get their act into gear there is no reason they cant win this election especially given the state of affairs in health, law and order, power and taxes. Quite frankly if this mob of idiots gets voted in then this state is going to hell in a handbasket.

Plenty of people could argue that it'd be real difficult for ANY party to be voted in and do worse than Labour has over the last term, actually.
I honestly find it a bit hard to swallow that someone could do worse than imposing martial law on part of the population by way of curfew, spend so much time and energy on pointless legislation, and ignore daylight savings altogether.
I honestly am considering voting for the People Against Daylight Savings party this time 'round; and this would be the first time in history that I've ever thought a one-trick-pony party was more correct than any that purports to have a real agenda.
I'm sure I can't be the only one beyond irritated with Labour right now, either.

Surely you aren't referring to the Northbridge curfew?

It's always been my view that Australians (as a whole) dont vote a political party into power, we vote a political party OUT of power. You see it all the time. When we get pissed off with the reigning party, we want to see them replaced, and we tend to overlook the oppositions weak points just to get our point across (if this makes sense).
